Okay I expect to receive infraction points for not putting this story in the Jokes section, and I get it. It's the Obama way to use fear to get your way, but this is ridiculous.

Please note the photo in the story is from back in Oct. before Global Warming problem covered much of the east coast in record snow fall.
They didn't want to show the White house hidden under all that snow while they continue to ignore all the facts coming out about HOAX of Global warming.

Child hood obesity is a problem no doubt but it truly is silly to make such a leap as to call it a national security threat.

This people is as out of touch with reality as her goofy husband. She even called her own children fat the other day. I hope they weren't exposed to that little gem.

CNSNews.com - First Lady Links Childhood Obesity to National Security in Launch of ?Let?s Move? Campaign

(CNSNews.com) – At a ceremony at the White House on Tuesday, First Lady Michelle Obama announced the launch of the ‘Let’s Move’ campaign to end childhood obesity in the United States, an epidemic she said is costly and a threat to national security.

“A recent study put the health care cost of obesity-related diseases at $147 billion a year,” Mrs. Obama said. “This epidemic also impacts the nation’s security, as obesity is now one of the most common disqualifiers for military service.”

And you can't get into the military if you're obese. Furthermore many of these couch potatoes have a really really hard time in basic. I witnessed it myself.

Well, is this claim true or false? If it's true, then what are you complaining about?

Outrageous. How dare she imply that a nation of fatties can't have a decent military? Just make bigger fatigues! Is that so hard??

You mean the First Lady is taking a political stance that virtually every American agrees with? Say it ain't so!

Silly stories like this undermine legitimate criticisms of Obama.

Re: First Lady Links Childhood Obesity to National Security in Launch of ‘Let’s Move’

the fat kid on south park, a threat to national security

LOL!

this, from the same white house that released six yemenis from gitmo in december, the month of mutallab, alone

the same administration that does a top to bottom review of fort hood and can't say the word "islam"

the same politicos who rush to mirandize the christmas bomber after 50:00 then come out bragging to the world six weeks later about his sudden cooperation, dumbly defeating their own purpose

the same crew that has no answer for the nuke-ifying of iran except for their stubborn sticking to their "two branch" approach---we're gonna reach out with our left hand and if (LOL!) ahmedinejad doesn't take it, we're gonna slap him silly with our right (except putin and hu protect the punk)

and ms michelle sees cartman as the problem---LOL!

So the military having weight restrictions for the very reason that "fatties" are essentially not worthy to serve our country is okay. But Michelle Obama iterating that point is just so wrong. Oh brother.

So, some one remind me again why it is a big deal that the First Lady wants Americans to be in better shape? I mean has the country looked into a mirror lately? The country could lose some pounds.
