I'm simply pointing out that Murtha's District is expecting a tremendous amount of pork to continue to come their way. When they don't get it they're going to boot out whoever is in Murtha's former seat.

In other words, whether it's a Dem or a Republican that takes Murtha's place, nothing will change.

You don't have to tell me about that district...I am from there and a lot of people there believe in morals and integrity which Murtha once had until senility took over..........

You're not a doctor, nor did you know Murtha personally. Which means you have no idea whether or not Murtha was senile.

Don't worry, someone will take his seat. And then you and your District will keep getting your pork.

The special election for that parasite's seat will be a possible indicator of how the winds in Pennsylvania have shifted, if they have.

If the GOP is smart, they'll select an American to run for the office and not anyone resembling an escapee from the African Savannah section of the local zoo, and we'll get to see how this guy performs against the flaming libtard the Democrats will nominate.

Or, we'll get to see if the Democrats will nominate a so-called "moderate" who will make pro-American sounding noises but who will be guaranteed to obey Nancy if elected.

So, who the Democrats nominate will be an indicator of their levels of fear and arrogance.

Who the Republicans nominate will be a measure of their level of attention to the people.

And...if the GOP does nominate some RINO, like they did in District 23 in New York, we'll see how well an independent conservative candidate will do in a three way race.

AND...if the GOP does nominate a RINO, everyone in that district opposed to treason should do everything they can (legally) to prevent that candidate from winning. Split the vote and if that means a Dem is elected until the November elections, fine.

Just so long as the message to the GOP is that the Americans are tired of their left-wing compromising bull**** ways.

You just compared a RINO to someone that commits treason. Hey if you wanna go with greedy, egotistical, self centered, narcissistic, two-faced liars, sure I could call some RINOs those things. But I could call most politicians those things.

    But treasonous?

Hey, fancy that! I said it right again!

Someone working actively to damage the United States, be it with foreign assistance or independently, is a traitor.

People working to destroy the Constitutional basis of our government are damaging the United States deliberately and with malice aforethought.

It's all in the momentum leading up to the mid-term elections, which right now is all bad for the Dems. Another Republican victory in a long-held Democratic district will not only give the GOP and its activists more confidence in the elections, it will show the independents that the GOP can win again and push more over to their side. You may dispute the importance of it, but the DNC knows this is actually more likely to happen if the GOP takes this seat than otherwise. Their worry isn't for this one seat, but rather their worry is for the momentum that is building against them for the November elections.

This whole RINO thing is the reason the GOP will never be a majority party again. The Big Tent is truly dead if this is the prevailing thought in the GOP and if this REvival Tent continues, I will continue to remain outside the GOP as I have since 2003.

    Amen, brother. Preach it!
The legitimate object of government, is to do for the people what needs to be done, but which they can not, by individual effort, do at all, or do so well, by themselves.
