For people to claim that he put people in danger is quite ****ing silly. Do you people think that insurgents in Iraq are paying attention to the New York Times, NBC or FOX? Do you think they spend their days reading our newspapers scanning for something to be outraged at? It's just silly to claim that the comments of any politician other than somebody highly visible(like the POTUS) would actually reach the ears of insurgents on their side.

Please keep the hyperbole to a reasonable level. Thanks!
By that logic, the folks in Iraq aren't paying any attention to Abu Grhraib nor Gitmo. Yes? reckon they're not the proganda generators that the Liberals have led us to believe they are.

That's one of the great things about this country. We have the freedom to speak out...even about the dead.

As long as Murtha was stokin' the war machine, the mongers had no trouble with him. As soon as he stood at a podium and expressed what most of the people were feeling about the Iraqi quagmire, he was a <fill in dirty name here.>

But, love him or hate him, he's dead. As much service as he has contributed to our great nation, I suppose I can get past some questionable moves on his part and suspicious acts of senility, perhaps. Anyways, someone told me once that when your dead, all your debts are paid.

I will step aside the vulture like slandering and just wish the old soldier a peaceful rest in eternity. Your work here is done.

I would do the same for Ollie North.

Lawmaker: Marines deliberately killed Iraqis - Conflict in Iraq- msnbc.com

A Pentagon probe into the death of Iraqi civilians last November in the Iraqi city of Haditha will show that U.S. Marines "killed innocent civilians in cold blood," a U.S. lawmaker said Wednesday.

From the beginning, Iraqis in the town of Haditha said U.S. Marines deliberately killed 15 unarmed Iraqi civilians, including seven women and three children.

On Wednesday, Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa., said the accounts are true.

Military officials told NBC News that the Marine Corps' own evidence appears to show Murtha is right.
While I think the Marine Corps dropped the charges to avoid an Iraqi May Lai, the fact of the matter remains that Murtha was premature in his comments. It shot him back in the face when they were acquitted and the charges all got dropped.

You mean that most Americans automatically assumed that, without a trial, without seeing any of the evidence that those Marines who were falsely charged with murder were automatically guilty?

And you want to try and portray yourself as one of those holier-than-thou-centrist mother****ers? Really? Totally incredible!

Please, tell me I'm not the only one here old enough to remember the savings and loan scandal.
