So, in your world, "reason", and, "justified", mean the same thing? I'm only telling you why it happened. I wasn't justifying it.

I do believe, though, that had the tables been turned, the Muslims would have done the same thing, so I'm having a hard to summoning up much sympathy for them.

The genocide has stopped because we and other UN allies are occupying the area. We move out, and the genocide is renewed.

Really into that "Nanny State" thing aren't you.

Have you ever taken responsibility for your own actions? Don't you think others should instead of blaming the Government for “not taking action“?

I can hear it now…. They should have made me wear that seat belt, just look at me now. It’s all their fault.

Got it...genocide is a just cause for engaging a sovereign nation in war. And if we had just flown wave after wave of bombers and destroyed Saddam he would have stopped.

Of course...we would killed many many MROE civilians...and he probably WOULDNT have stopped...so...maybe just maybe we ended genocide and killed LESS than we would have with all those airstrikes.

Im tellin ya...you have GOT to be careful with those situational ethics...it will expose you EVERY time...

    I think that happened already.

I would apply this equally to Winston Churchill as to Saddam Hussein.

No farther seek his merits to disclose,
Or draw his frailties from their dread abode
(There they alike in trembling hope repose),
The bosom of his Father and his God.

    By Thomas Gray (1716-71).
I hate the idea of causes, and if I had to choose between betraying my country and betraying my friend, I hope I should have the guts to betray my country. E.M. Forster

He's no doubt having to explain his later years and decisions. I'll have to explain my earlier years and decisions. I pray God is forgiving.
It was the Austrasians, that hewed on bravely through the thick of the fight, it was they who found and cut down the Saracen King.

He's probably being rewarded by the Military Gods for sticking up for the honor of all honorable service men and women. Honorable military persons do not want to murder innocent civilians. That kind of behavior dishonors everybody who ever served honorably.

You don't have to blindly defend bad behavior just because you wore the uniform. The dregs should be exposed as well as the reasons for their behavior. this is what Murtha had the courage to expose.

Staff Sgt. Frank Wuterich will probably be the only one punished for those murders because of the Marines' early cover up and the wrong people being given immunity.
Thank You Barack Obama for Restoring Honor To The Presidency.
