Economy Sheds 20,000 Jobs But Rate Drops to 9.7 Percent

As far as I understand the way the US does its unemployment numbers have not changed since before Bush.

Yes.

They still don't count the unemployed, and current rates are more like >15% than <10%

Thanks for posting the numbers that way. It gives us a good visual of how it took time for the Cheney/Bush trainwreck to reach the top of the pile of **** and now it's starting down the otherside toward recovery. :2wave:

don't count on it.

The Messiah wants to raise taxes.

Again.

The most stupid thing in the world to do in a recession, and the Messiah can't think of anything else, except "balloon the deficit".

lol, I was under the impression that the rise of the dollar had to do with the failure of other currencies. If we are printing money to solve our problems, and still seeing the value of the dollar rise, there are most likely other factors involved ;)

The dollar is -at the moment- inversely related to equity markets. One could also go the route in stating that sovereign debt is inversely related to equity markets. Or even, sovereign debt yields are directly related to equity markets.

Any questions?

No comment on the rise of the dollar? :2wave: You are going to have to put up a little more effort or think with objectivity. Otherwise you will only come up short.

The dow fell below 10 thousand today

The dow fell below 10 thousand today

Hmmm, 10,000 seems to be the key level. I'd bet my left foot that by the time you are 65, the Dow will have breached the 15,000 mark (possibly several times:mrgreen: )

55. I get interest in my money market and do not lose it when Obama screws the economy

Presidents cannot screw the economy. It takes an assortment of unwise decision making to bring down such a complex system. Besides.... If Obama is really going to "destroy" the economy in the magnitude that Rush and Sean seem to believe, even the FDIC means jack ****!

Then the recession is not Bush's fault?

Then the recession is not Bush's fault?

it took a village of idiots to make for this recession, going all the way back to Reagan at least, and including basically every administration and congress.

So then why does Obama blame Bush?

Who ever said it was?

Did Bush do some stupid things? Of course.

Last 15 seconds of video Obama blames Bush

So you are saying that Bush's economic policy did not fail?

We didn't have 10% unemployment when the Republicans were running the show. Just sayin'.

It hit 10.8 when Reagan was President.

What was it when Bush was in office? Not no 10.8, huh?

What's next, ya'll gonna blame Lincoln for the Great Depression?

I think you should get a prize for fastest moving of the goalposts ever.

I think you need to stop and remember that our government is only 230 years old. You gotta stop with George Washington when blaming everyone, but PBO, for the current recession.

Yeah, the recession that was started before he took office is his fault. Keep up the quality posting, I have not laughed like this in awhile.

No, the Democratic Congress is to be blamed, as well, but making the recession worse is definitely his fault.
