Fractures emerge as Tea Party convenes

Gee....I'm solutions based and not ideologically driven, unless you recognize that my ideology is the ideology that works....ie, produces solutions.

Moderates like to compromise. They don't give **** if something works or is constitutional, they just like giving in.

Sure, if you want to call that an ideology, but I don't know if it has a name such as conservatism, classical liberalism, progressivism, or positive liberalism.

Moderates find middle ground positions that work. Yes, they compromise. The ****ing problem is that the extremes have control over the parties and they don't work together!!! That's the ****ing problem! Nothing gets done. That's where your ideology takes us.

The people of Massachusetts, overwhelmingly Democrat, just voted in a Republican.

It's going to be a blood bath in November.

No. They voted in a Republican because Ted Kennedy was no longer there.

You seem to be making a HUGE assumption about the entire nation based on the results in one state in a Special Election.

The only way your assumption would carry any weight is if every state in the nation had the exact same situation as Massachusetts. A dead Democratic Senator and then a special election being held for his seat in an off election year.

That ain't happening.

Massachusetts. :lamo

Oh yea the same statist piece of **** that supported Romneycare when he was in the state Senate and all of a sudden found his small government roots who wins the election but 24 hours after he wins he supports government health care again. I love how you people tout THAT as small government.

Do you think Scott Brown would have beaten a healthy and campaigning Ted Kennedy?

Wouldnt mattered since Brown supported Romneycare, the idiots voted for a socialist regardless.

Thank God.

Way to go solving the countries problems. You can't bitch about the deficit or government spending since you are part of the problem.

How quickly we forget....

Virginia, and New Jersey.

Have you looked at the polls for the upcoming races? I hope Obama campaigns in every one of them.

It's going to be a blood bath in November.

Virginia ALWAYS elects a governor from the opposite party of the President.

Again, I do think the GOP will pick up some seats in the house, but we'll see how many.

Getting nothing done saved us from Cap & Trade, Obamacare, and God only knows what other hair brained stupid programs that this administration would have passed.

Sounds like you might be the problem as you seem to think all of that crap would be a good result of the 2 parties working together to get something done.

Where did I say all of that crap should be the result? I certainly don't mean to limit my criticism of ideological ineptness to the conservatives. The left also needs to compromise and not attempt to pass such legislation.

I certainly hope that Obama going in front of the House Republicans becomes a common thing, televised and all. It won't because the GOP was embarrassed. It would be a good first step to talking to reach compromise.

**** it! The two parties won't do it. We have to elect a third party into power.

I got high hopes for Brown.

tea---LOL!

massachusetts was just marauded by a monster amalgam of republicans, independents, 20% of dems, lipton lovers, libertarians, perot-schkies, flat earthers, birthers and even a few who question the "overwhelming scientific evidence in favor of global warming"

on the other hand, the party in power isn't cracking, it's being squeezed into martha coakley's closet while membership rumbles more ruefully each day it's rebellious disaffection

oh, my, they were all bitching yesterday

at the newseum

you know the newseum?

anyway, a lot of fuss and fur flew yesterday but, according to THE HILL (LOL!), most of it came AFTER the cameras (at the newseum) were turned off

how open of them

oh, i could get you a half dozen links if you want, all the kvetching, my, my

lincoln, boxer, rockefeller, specter, spratt, bayh, gillibrand...

everyone's COMPLAINING

that budget, oh

that ksm concatenation, my

iran---what's going on?

health ca...

leadership looks not to have a clue what it's doing

but it does LOOK good not doing it

i mean, just as good as one possibly COULD look, not knowing what one's doing, and all

it's tuff to LOOK good under such circumstances, but obama does about as good as any

my favorite, tho, was ms lincoln, who unluckily learned this week that she trails some little red wannabe upstart whom even the encyclopedic prof doesn't know by TWENTY THREE points

did you hear what bid-goodbye-blanche said to president pie-in-the-face?

WHILE the cameras were running, even?

"there's no one in your administration that understands what it means to go to work on monday and make a payroll on friday"

THAT's what she said

yes, it's my favorite

cuz it's so true

and so revealing

fractures in the "tea party..."

You never met Joe Republican??

A Day in the Life of Joe Republican

Joe gets up at 6 a.m. and fills his coffeepot with water to prepare his morning coffee. The water is clean and good because some tree-hugging liberal fought for minimum water-quality standards. With his first swallow of water, he takes his daily medication. His medications are safe to take because some stupid commie liberal fought to ensure their safety and that they work as advertised.
All but $10 of his medications are paid for by his employer's medical plan because some liberal union workers fought their employers for paid medical insurance - now Joe gets it too.

He prepares his morning breakfast, bacon and eggs. Joe's bacon is safe to eat because some girly-man liberal fought for laws to regulate the meat packing industry.

In the morning shower, Joe reaches for his shampoo. His bottle is properly labeled with each ingredient and its amount in the total contents because some crybaby liberal fought for his right to know what he was putting on his body and how much it contained.

Joe dresses, walks outside and takes a deep breath. The air he breathes is clean because some environmentalist wacko liberal fought for the laws to stop industries from polluting our air.

He walks on the government-provided sidewalk to subway station for his government-subsidized ride to work. It saves him considerable money in parking and transportation fees because some fancy-pants liberal fought for affordable public transportation, which gives everyone the opportunity to be a contributor.

Joe begins his work day. He has a good job with excellent pay, medical benefits, retirement, paid holidays and vacation because some lazy liberal union members fought and died for these working standards. Joe's employer pays these standards because Joe's employer doesn't want his employees to call the union.

If Joe is hurt on the job or becomes unemployed, he'll get a worker compensation or unemployment check because some stupid liberal didn't think he should lose his home because of his temporary misfortune.

It is noontime and Joe needs to make a bank deposit so he can pay some bills. Joe's deposit is federally insured by the FSLIC because some godless liberal wanted to protect Joe's money from unscrupulous bankers who ruined the banking system before the Great Depression.

Joe has to pay his Fannie Mae-underwritten mortgage and his below-market federal student loan because some elitist liberal decided that Joe and the government would be better off if he was educated and earned more money over his lifetime. Joe also forgets that his in addition to his federally subsidized student loans, he attended a state funded university.

Joe is home from work. He plans to visit his father this evening at his farm home in the country. He gets in his car for the drive. His car is among the safest in the world because some America-hating liberal fought for car safety standards to go along with the tax-payer funded roads.

He arrives at his boyhood home. His was the third generation to live in the house financed by Farmers' Home Administration because bankers didn't want to make rural loans.

The house didn't have electricity until some big-government liberal stuck his nose where it didn't belong and demanded rural electrification.

He is happy to see his father, who is now retired. His father lives on Social Security and a union pension because some wine-drinking, cheese-eating liberal made sure he could take care of himself so Joe wouldn't have to.

Joe gets back in his car for the ride home, and turns on a radio talk show. The radio host keeps saying that liberals are bad and conservatives are good. He doesn't mention that the beloved Republicans have fought against every protection and benefit Joe enjoys throughout his day. Joe agrees: "We don't need those big-government liberals ruining our lives! After all, I'm a self-made man who believes everyone should take care of themselves, just like I have."
Chain-mail wisdom ... just can't beat that.

Barr. Phillip Butulezi
[ADDRESS REMOVED]

EMAIL: barrphbutulezi@myway.com

Hello,

I am Barr. Phillip Butulezi, an attorney of law to a deceased Immigrant property Magnate, who was based in the U.K, also referred to as my client.

On the 25th of July 2000, my client, his wife, and their two Children died in the Air France concord plane crash bound for New York. They were on their way to a world cruise.

Prior to that accident and since then, I have been managing Mr Schoeler's properties here in the U.K. Some of these properties, at the time of the accident, were already put on sale. I, as his attorney, monitored the sale of the properties, and the depositing of the proceeds into Mr Schoeler's main U.K bank account. I have contacted you initially to assist me in repatriating the money, and possibly ownership of some of the property left behind by my client; this is to prevent ownership of both reverting to the state. By U.K law, ownership of funds in current bank accounts unattended for six years will automatically revert back to her majesty's government treasury. However, the legal procedure to activate this takes about three months, of which there are just about two months left.

The bank has recently issued me a notice to provide details of any of Mr Schoeler's next of kin within a short period of time, this thereby triggers off the procedure of reverting ownership of the funds to her majesty's government. My Late client's main Uk bank account is valued at fifteen million, five hundred thousand U.S dollars ($15.5m). Since I have been unsuccessful in locating any relatives of my late client in the last six years; and with the bank indicating that they now wish to shortly start the procedure of reversion of ownership of the funds to the state, I now seek your consent to present you as the next of kin of the deceased, so that the proceeds of this account can be paid to you. And then you in turn can send me my share of the money. The ratio for the sharing of the funds will be fifty per cent (50%) to me, forty per cent (40%) to you, and ten per cent (10%) for miscellaneous expenses that might arise. I have all the necessary information that will be used to back up any claim we may make..

All I require is your honest co-operation and confidentiality to enable us sees this deal through. I guarantee that this will be executed under a legitimate arrangement that will protect you from any breach of the law. Trust me, as Mr Schoeler's attorney; this is a risk-free transaction. Please send me your full names, address, and your telephone and fax numbers to enable us discuss this matter further.

I very much look forward to a swift response from you.

Kindest regards,

Barr. Phillip Butulezi

Oh.. Duh! I get it.

That was funny right there. :rofl

Fractures emerge as Tea Party convenes

The original notion of protesting overspending by both Republicans and Democrats appealed to me. Expressing my discontent with polarized, partisan politics in D.C., the need for congressional term limits--all things I could get behind...

But the first rally I went to in blue California last April had already been hijacked by far-right partisans and birthers. They didn't want to talk about common ground or bi-partisan efforts.
OH, NOO-NOO-NOO-NOO-NOOH!! There you go there, Mr. Moderate. Trying to get conservatives to turn moderate, compromising with liberal policy. Turn us into liberals and we lose, every time!

I'm willing to put up with the birther nutters because the real moderates who turn elections wisely don't pay them any attention. What matters is electing policymakers who know how to run the nation.

Diversity -- absolutely, maybe too much so.

Tolerant -- hardly. Go to a Tea Party rally and tell them you're an independent who thinks the real problem is congress and special interests and not really the President.

That is true. But this particular President needs to go with Congress because he has no clue.

It's going to be a blood bath in November.

It always cracks me up how some like to refer to elections of politicians as a "blood bath" as if they are dueling in the pit.

The last time I saw the congressmen sitting at the State of the Union speech I think the only thing these windbags could end up bloodied is their hemorrhoids...

I already posted this, Rev -- last April, tax day. It was supposed to be about overspending in congress, fiscal responsibility, and term limits.

I got there and it was all about Obama is a socialist/Marxist from Africa.

Thats the difference between teabaggers and real tea party protestors.

Its not a Patriotic Movement. Its flash and a Act at best. As far as what kind of movement it is, I would sit on a toilet to be safe...:rofl

It reminds me of Perot's reform party. There were a few people who were really into it....but it fizzled out pretty quickly as soon as the nuts took over.

I think this is what would happen to any "Third Party" that it seems everyone wishes for. Except for the Kool Aid drinkers it seems most are sick and tired of the dog & pony show of the Reps and Dems and would jump on board of a real third party. But in reality the nuts would immediately rush in and take control.

Perhaps this is what is wrong with this country. The "nut" or not meaning to offend anyone but the "party retards" take over.

Meh, I remember when the lunatic fringe left would screech "dissent is the highest form of patriotism"....

I guess thats only in play if it matches lunatic fringe leftist ideologies......

From what I have read about the Reform Party and its destruction was when Buchanan got on board his allies tried to turn it into a Paleoconservative party. The Party was supposed to be a Populist one and the original founders didnt like that.
