Then ... they need to be tried, found guilty, and sentenced to life in prison without parole... IN GENERAL POPULATION.
The charges could all be condensed down to one charge - Official oppression, which carries serious prison time.

Upon further research I have made the following discoveries:

The TBI (Tennessee Bureau of Investigation) has been contacted and has refused to act.

The FBI has been contacted regarding this incident. They have yet to respond or offer assistance.

Indeed, but I would rather see them face all of the aforementioned charges. That way they can be forced to serve a separate sentence for each crime consecutively.

This will keep them all in jail for the rest of their lives. They will then never have the opportunity to harm another innocent civilian.

That won't happen. Related charges from the same act almost always run concurrently.

If this is true, following a civil suit, criminal charges will be a shoe in (if in fact they did engage in such a way).
It is not very unreasonable that the rich should contribute to the public expense, not only in proportion to their revenue, but something more than in that proportion.

This is true but there are mitigating circumstances in this case. The offenders are all corrupt law enforcement personnel. In court, this will be looked at as a "special circumstance", which will garner harsher than usual punishment.

I personally spoke to the TBI about this incident and the officer I spoke with told me that the situation would be handled in court. This means the State of Tennessee has officially refused to get involved.

The FBI has even less helpful (in an informational sense) and refused to issue a statement on the progress in this case. (This is normal for an active, on-going, investigation.)

Therefore, I suspect the Sheriff and his thugs are about to be sodomized by the system for their actions.
