Many children taken by Americans not orphans

From the OP article:

The orphanage worker, Issac Adrien, said he told the villagers their children would be educated at a home in the Dominican Republic so that they might eventually return to take care of their families.

The parents of four children taken by Silsby said the Americans took down contact information for all the families and assured them that a relative would be able to visit them in the Dominican Republic.

But a Haitian-born pastor who accompanied the Baptist group insisted Wednesday that the Americans had done nothing wrong, and that any with living parents had been sent with the knowledge they would have a better life and would still be able to see their relatives.
"When we think orphanage, it's someone without a mother and father. In Haiti, it's not the case," the Rev. Jean Sainvil said, noting that many children in orphanages have been put there by parents who cannot care for their children.
"These parents are homeless and hopeless," he said. "Everybody agreed that they knew where the children were going. The parents were told, and we confirmed they would be allowed to see the children and even take them back if need be."

I think that your argument holds zero water. These people deserve the benefit of the doubt, at the least.

i'm not suggesting WE do anything to them. that would be the perogative of the haitians, wouldn't it? and as far as i know, our constitutional rights mean diddly squat in haiti.

i never made any kind of a threat, you should reread my post.
....let them rot...?

You are so quick to take the word of a corrupt government that has kept these folks in poverty for decades, merely for political games.
um, actually, i took the word of the villagers. again, did you read the story?

Given the fact that "missionairies" have been providing all the help for all these years, doesn't give you the right to denegrate them because suddenly a new crisis there popped up on the MSM radar. If these were Obamanites I'm sure liblady would be promoting all kinds of excuses for them.
you know what, american? just because you are hyper-partisan doesn't mean everybody else is.

my post was not in any way about politics.

That's what trials are for. I'm sure they'll get a fair trial in Haiti ;)

BTW, does Haitian law have presumption of innocence?

Yeah, read the whole thing and apparently you like to cherry pick so that you can feel justified in believing the evil Baptists were up to no good. Nothing of the sort has been proven, but only alleged by MSM and folks like you. No charges have been filed, but they have already label criminals by people on your side of the argument. ****ing up paperwork does not translate into being an evildoer. Sounds to me like Haiti has had some inconsistencies in its process.

cherry pick what? never mind, you clearly aren't capable of discussing this coherently.

lol......that's a threat? seriously, dude, put down the nunchucks, i think you've hit yourself in the head one too many times.
Okay, but you implied that they should lose any protection afford citizens abroad. Threat may be the wrong word, but the implication is unfair.

A second personal attack on mental cognizance. You have yet to deny anything I've stated with rationale.

What protection do you think they have?

let's see, american, what have you stated?

1. that i believe baptists are evil. proof please.
2. that if they were obama voters i would excuse them. proof please.
3. that these missionairies are protected by the constitution. not in haiti, they aren't.
4. that i took the word of the haitian gov't. proof please.

really, who is irrrational here, american?

The problem here is not enough money changed hands. That would have solved everything.

There's still time for the US government to bribe Haitian authorities to let these missionaries go ;)

Let them rot....
They are contributing to over population....;)
