Mexican Mayor Says Victims of Teen Party Massacre Had No Drug Ties - International News | News of the World | Middle East News | Europe News - FOXNews.com

And this within minutes of our nearly unprotected Border.
More than 2,600 people were killed last year alone in Ciudad Juarez,

The drug cartels are in charge of northern Mexico and conduct operations in California, Arizona, Texas and other states as well and they are a serious threat and will grow even more dangerous as Obama is about to reduce funding for Border enforcement at a time when it should be increased, proving he's an idiot with an agenda that is not good for America.

I don't give a damn how much you love to kiss Obama butt or worship at his feet, you had better wake the hell up soon because these could be your children next.

Weakening the border will allow even more illegal OTMs in the country and no telling where they will be from or what the want to do when they arrive.

Federal authorities point to the Mexican drug cartels who are ultimately responsible for border violence by having cemented ties to street and prison gangs like Barrio Azteca on the U.S. side. Azteca and other U.S. gangs retail drugs that they get from Mexican cartels and Mexican gangs.

Mexican gangs run their own distribution networks in the United States, and they produce most of the methamphetamine used north of the border. They have even bypassed the Colombians several times to buy cocaine directly from producers in Bolivia, Peru and even Afghanistan. These same gangs often work as cartel surrogates or enforcers on the U.S. side of the border. Intelligence suggests Los Zetas have hired members of various gangs at different times including, El Paso gang Barrio Azteca, Mexican Mafia, Texas Syndicate, MS-13, and Hermanos Pistoleros Latinos to further their criminal endeavors.

The Department of Justice estimates there are approximately 30,000 gangs with more than 800,000 members in the U.S. Dangerous Mexican Cartel Gangs

Way to go Obama make it easier for the gangs and drug cartels to get here so you can garner a few more illegal vote via ACORN.

PrintShareThisCIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico — The mayor of a violent Mexican border city said Monday he fears a shooting that killed 16 people in a working class neighborhood may have been random because many of the victims were "good kids" with no apparent ties to drug gangs.

The dead included at least eight teenagers, the youngest a 13-year-old girl.

Mayor Jose Reyes Ferriz said police were pursuing all lines of investigation. But he said none of the victims of the attack Saturday night had criminal records, and the teenagers were "good kids, students, athletes."

He said he feared violence was reaching levels of brutality shocking even for Ciudad Juarez, which faces El Paso, Texas, and has become one of the world's deadliest cities amid rampant battles between drug gangs fighting for turf and smuggling routes north.

"There is no logical explanation, a concrete reason for this event. This is something that worries us, gratuitous or random criminal acts," Reyes told MVS Radio. "It goes way beyond what had been happening and puts Ciudad Juarez in even greater danger."

Witnesses and relatives said armed men in two trucks blocked off a dead end street in Villas de Salvarcar, a neighborhood of modest cinderblock homes partly surrounded by a fence topped by barbed wire. The gunmen opened fire at three houses, ending their rampage at one home where young people had been gathered for a party.

Ten people were found dead at the scene and six died at hospitals.

One father rushed into the third home after seeing the gunmen and warned the teenagers to flee, according to Mari Cruz, who lost a son and nephew in the attack, and who heard the details from a girl who survived by hiding in a closet. The father was shot at the entrance and the gunmen forced the young people into a corner of the house before shooting them.

That many less that will make it here.......;)
Border security should be ramped up to keep our 'friends' to the south on their side of the border.....;)
Oh, & deport all ilegal immediately......:)

As a Mexican-American (here legally, as a Mexican I have to ALWAYS clear that up) I find violence repulsive. However, you can not hold the majority accountable for the actions of the minority. For every gang-member there are 20 hard working people. If we want to stop illegal drug use, we have to stop the demand. The best way to do that is drug counseling and therapy. Yes it is harder than just throwing them in jail, but we should not always take the easy way out. As for the issue of illegal immigration, I'll wait for a different thread (to point out that the pilgrims came here illegally and for those of you that say that there were no laws against that, not true, the natives had laws against stealing property. For those that say that its history and "get over it" talk to me in 30 years when the southwest is 90% hispanic. I'll tell you to "get over it."

Clearly the vast majority Mexicans are good hard working people who don't want to come here illegally or we'd be over run in minutes almost. The problem is Obama has presented a budget that cut 180 Border patrol jobs when they are under manned and out gunned know. The B.P. Agents are often sent out on patrol alone now.

My good friend's Son is an a B.P. Agent and she's worried all the time for his safety. She recently sent me a picture of him taken during a foot patrol and he looked as if he could have been in Afghanistan with a Special Forces unit with all the gear a weapons.
We are being invaded by OTM and it's dangerous out there and it's not getting better.

The key to our safety is enforcement, enforcement, enforcement!

Contrary to popular belief not all Mexicans want to cross the border, just the losers do.

You really should think just a little before making idiotic comments.

The key to our safety is legalization. A thriving demand for drugs in this country is driving this violence.

I hope one day that people here will stop giving Partisan the attention he desperately seeks by making those kind of comments.

I would agree that our sons and daughters in Border Patrol need to be safe. However just throwing money at the problem will not make it go away. At the heart of the problem is this drug war that is being waged unsucessfully. Without a demand there is no supply. Also, how much would extra BP guards, equipment, and training cost. Arent we fighting two wars and arent we in an economic recession with high unemployment. Is there a cheaper way to secure the border or can we make the demand for cocaine and heroin wane? Those are the questions we should be asking, not trying to find scapegoats for our problems

Exactly why our border should be made air tight.....
Then we can focus on the illegal scum already here.....
This nonsense about stopping demand is fantasy for the most part.....
Take the extreme profit out of it.....
Legalize it & install harsher penalties for real crime.....;)

What does Border enforcement have to do with a problem that is a direct result of the Drug War?

If you want the drug cartels out of business, and if you want to virtually eliminate the violence associated with the drug trade, end prohibition.

If you really think that border control is the answer, you are naive at best. Drugs are present in jails. You can't have a situation in which the entrance is much more restricted than that.

That is an excellent point. My brother lives in Laredo, Texas, which is right across the border from Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. There is a lot of violence in Nuevo Laredo, but it hasn't spilled over to Laredo. What's the problem?

The drug industry is a multi-BILLION dollar industry. For that kind of money, people will do extra-ordinary things and go to extra-ordinary lengths to get the supply where the demand is. Even if we do secure one entry point, another will pop up somewhere else and we will still have the same problem. If the issue here is iilegal immigration, why did you post a article about kids being killed in Mexico. Lets save the racisist comments for the debate on illegal immigration. If anybody wants to debate without calling me and my family scum-bags (we did come illegally, but Ronald Reagan made us legal) then I am game for that. Untill then, whatever you say bounces of me and sticks to you:mrgreen:

Hi Vic. Obviously you signed up with the amnesty program that Reagan initiated back in 1985. Some of my Mexican friends and co-workers did sign up, but many did not. Some feared a trap, but most were just homesick and had no intentions of becoming an American.

<back ot>
What happened to the Minute Men? Did they get scared off by the drug gangs? Actually drugs are just one of their products. They run illegal firearms and prostitution too.

One friend of mine, who happened to be in the Mexican Mafia, came over to my house in CA one time with a Maxi-van fully loaded with boxes of 9mm automatic Uzis. He showed me one and said it would be only $700 for "Guero Pachuco" (me). Sadly, I didn't have any cash at the time. I had worked construction with these illegal men all over the country for 15 years. If I put out the word, I could easily find him now.

It really hits home out in Cali where every street and every town and city have Spanish names. These guys are just working in the lands of their ancestors.

One thing that I learned was that not a single one of these guys had to sneak across the border. They came across any time that they felt like it.

Here's how:
Four men per car, four hundred dollars each (1985 prices). They told me that three-quarters of the border guards at the crossing points were on the take. They knew most of the crooked guards by name and what time of day they were on shift.

Now, once again... How many more crooked border guards do we need to hire?

So this is Obama's fault?

What a ridiculous but why not get this from a liberal since you all blame Bush for everything that comes up.

The point is Obamas's policy to cut Border protection is a stupid, dumb assed idea. Do Liberals all take classes in how to ignore what is said and replace it with nonsense they can pretend was actually said?

Too bad schools don't teach reading comprehension.
