Obama is damn, if he does, and damn if he doesn't. I am all for a balanced budget, and I am a democrat.

These are NOT "inherited" deficits. This isn't because of TARP, this isn't because of the "stimulus" package. But woo-hoo! It'll get "down" to $700 billion by 2013!
now that's just laughable. i guess war spending is excluded.

"War Spending" is a result of self-described policy priority of The Obama, as He chooses to extend the policies of GWB in Iraq and expand on them in Afganistan.

As such, these costs are His and not GWB's. He could reduce this spedning to near $0 by simply choosing to do so.

So let me get this straight, when Bush inherited a recession from Clinton, he couldn't use that as an excuse, and his signing of every spending bill before him was something to be used by liberals to bash him with. However, when Obama spends in magnitudes of multiples of what Bush spent, then it is still all Bush's fault.....Interesting paradox you libs cook up. laughable, but interesting.

Bush inherited a recession? I see you subscribed to the revisionist history told by Repubs. Bush should have been bashed for his spending as he and the party in control at the time called themselves Fiscal Conservatives.. Obama did inherite a Depression, who controled Congress for the last 14 of 16 yrs prior to him taking office??

I wasn't aware that the BEA was a partisan organizaton.
According to them, the slowdown that was the "Bush recession" began in the 3rd quarter of 2000 and extended thru the thrid quarter of 2001. There was never really a 'recession' as there was no back-to-back quarters of negative growth.

This excuses The Obama's spending... how?

    Obama did inherite a Depression...

Were you referring to my response to you?

If that's the best response you can muster, it illustrates quite plainly to your inability to respond effectively.

Revisionist? I think not...I will ofcourse agree that Republicans in Congress passed spending measures during their time that Liberals would have been proud of, spending like liberals for 6 years. But, least you forget Demo's took control in '06, and the current recession which is time lined back to its start in '07 to the present. Much of which was caused by a bubble in housing lending which IMHO can be directly traced back to demo's and their push for everyone to own a home whether they could afford it or not.

    The CRA

Calls from demo's to block regulation of Fannie, and Freddie.

If any revision is going on here it is not from me I assure you....Take a look.
