    very revealing
It'll do the same no matter where it's held. So, who cares!

Trying them in Manhattan next to their "work" might be the dumbest governmental decision in known history. Makes you wonder where their true allegiances lie, because no mildly educated adult could blunder this so badly.
Right because no terrorists have ever been tried there before...

Setting aside the hilarity of taking the views of one official from the 80's and using that to conclude that all Republicans must either agree or declare Reagan a fraud, you honestly can't think of any ways in which terrorism and its place in our society might have shifted in the past 23 years?

No, the trial will not disrupt millions of lives and cost the same hundreds of millions regardless of where it is held. There are literally thousands of places where it could be held without inconveniencing so many or creating such a huge security risk.
People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

Are you afraid some super secret ninja terrorist group is going to attack if it's held there?

Handcuffs, armed guards ..what's the problem? These suspects are just people.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the bumper sticker "9/11 changed everything". The only thing it changed was how government was going to bend us over.

Why does there even need to be a trial? What legal rationale are you citing as justification for trying a notorious terrorist?

What are you talking about? Nobody is scared that they're going to break said individuals out or anything like that, the point is that such a trial creates an inviting target for terrorists as well as necessitates vastly increased security. You might think that's hilarious, but those who are much smarter than you or I have looked at the situation and concluded that the costs would be obscene.

Easy for you to say, when you don't have to deal with the circus of a trial in a crowded metropolitan area that suffered the worst terrorist attack in American history. Your lack of sensitivity is astounding.

That's because they're paranoid and overdo the security bit as a result.

"Inviting target"? Do you think these terrorists will only attack the city where the trial is held?

Obviously, you know much better than lifelong security experts...
