You believe Obama shouldn't be making statements towards companies that the government is major shareholders in don't you?

What else did you mean by your comment of "If NBC wasn't a part of the state media, PBO might scold them for this payoff" if not nodding to the fact that Obama has been scolding banker payouts and GM CEO's?

It actually worked out well for Conan they could have forced him to break the contract by simply moving the Tonight Show to a later time since I don't believe the original contract said the show must be on at 11:30pm. Though NBC would have then not been able to keep the Tonight Show name and decades long reputation since they would have killed the show completely by putting "The Tonight Show" on the next day after midnight and on an hour where little people watch TV.

    Kind of like New Coke.
Millions and millions have been pocketed because of publicity stunts and media manipulation. It's always a possibility. But I think Conan would rather have a job. Stuff happens.

I thought Leno was going to retire, so why's he wanting to go back after this deal of going to an earlier time slot? I think Leno wanted to do this, and it didn't work, so now he's making out like NBC made the mistake, but I'm guessing it was his call. That's why he acted like it was all such a big surprise that because it didn't work, he's just an innocent in all of it.

To be fair, I think Leno should hand the keys over to Conan.

    I like Leno. I like O'Brien.

I think the people should have voted on it, and the loser, loses.

I take Leno at his word.

I was disappointed O'Brien was picked to succeed Leno.

I watched his other show on the hope he would do something funny.

    He very rarely did.

I thought way before this that he wasn't up to the job and I was right.

    He has never been funny.

I agree. Way too many "groaners" in Conan's show.
