    No.

    Accidents do not happen.

If a woman doesn't want to get pregnant, and no woman in the nation's military service should be allowed to destroy her readiness by getting pregnant, then there are things to do and not do to avoid that situation.

Also, since there's no guarantee that the sperm donor is a fellow serviceman and not the captain's nephew, there's no point in making silly charges against the "sperm donor". It's the female's activity that caused the disabling of an expensive peice of government property, it's her responsibility and she has to bear the cost of her incompetence.

There's no excuses, no one reaching military age is unaware of how babies are made. She's responsible and the one thing the military is famous for is making the individual bear his responsibilities themselves. The women need to grow up and learn to take it like a man, if they're going to wear a man's uniform.

'zactly, almost. If they're on active duty, anywhere, they're obligated to take care of taxpayer property.

I saw it happen, but I wouldn't say that it's frequent. Perhaps your experience is different from mine.

Shooting yourself in the foot is not the same as getting knocked up....
They're both self inflicted and can prevent a soldier from performing his/her duties. So, they are exactly the same.

but as long as women are in the armed forces, you will get pregnancies......
& as someone pointed out, sex is not strictly forbidden.......[/QUOTE]

No, sex isn't forbidden. However, a female getting knocked up, while serving with a deployed unit in a forward position, is.

Orders, regarding female preganancy usually only applies to deployed units during wartime.

What part of 'emergency birth control' is not sinking in?.....
We are talking morning after pills, not third trimester abortion.....
Anyone who does not agree that it is a prudent course of action, is opposing it on moral or religious grounds....
There can be no other logical explanation.....
    So 'fess up......
The reason I say this is because with the morning after, you don't know if you are pregnant or not, & they are taken as a precaution....

Should not be. A soldier on duty is expected to perform his duties, regardless of where she's at.

If women are claiming they can do the same job as the men, then I expect them to be doing the same job as any man they're replacing, no matter where they are.

They claim they don't want special treatment, so they shouldn't be getting any.

    Certainly there's other grounds.

Like, the incompetence of the female in getting herself knocked up is a reflection on her professionalism, and an entry in her service record to that effect should be made, with appropriate bearing on her future evaluations and promotion opportunities.

    Hogwash & you know it.....
As stated before, it is a PRECAUTION, a woman does not neccessarily need to take them, but can as a preventative measure.......
You do not have a leg to stand on, I implore you to 'fess up......

Does this mean sending them into the field without tampons?.....
Women have special needs, it's a fact of life & some accomodations will have to be made......

I know what it is and a female soldier shouldn't need a morning after pill. She should be responsible enough to protect herself, or abstain from sexual activity. She already knows what the rules are. She should be able to abide by them.
