If the 1992 riots happened every single year like clockwork, you might have more of a point. They were an exceptional event that was absolutely abhorrent.

Again, my surprise here is not that people rioted - it's that people riot every year, everyone knows it's going to happen, and nobody does anything about it. If we had riots like that every single year, I'd be disgusted at that.
Killing people is worse than burning cars, but that's just my opinion here

Unfortunately others will do dangerous or illegal things, like slipping a date rape drug in their hot friend's drink or burning the neighbor's car. How do you expect to fix random behavior like this? A cop behind every spring breaker? A horde of cops on every single French street on New Year's Eve? Impossible. Warning people of what could potentially happen and hoping for the best is really the only thing that can be done.
If there's no way to prevent people from burning cars like this, then why is it that we don't see something similar in every other country? Again, regardless of what you say, i see a huge difference between people doing tequila shots and people torching cars.

I agree, and if DP had been around during the LA riots, I would have posted a thread asking how something like that could have happened in a civilized nation. Furthermore, the point remains that there is a significant distinction between a regular event and an isolated occurrence.

Not all segments of American society are civilized. Some areas are tribal.
Some will burn down their communities at the flick of a switch... trained by a pathetic, pimp-like leadership.

These people live in the land of opportunity, and are taught to be helpless victims. That isn't civil.

To think, we have a President cut from that cloth.
Trained for 20-years by a man spewing that vile poison.

You're not especially fond of black people, we get it.

But it's not an isolated occurence, isn't murder by firearm the first cause of death for young Afro-Americans?

Is there anything false about what is above? Anything?
All races can be tribal... in fact we have detrimental tribes from many races; Asians, White... Black.

Now, as to your slight of keyboard about me being racist... let me pass along a story from when I was a little younger.

At a bar at Belmont Shores, I went to get a drink, but the bartenders kept passing me by. Two gorgeous black girls were in front and told me to join them at the bar so I could get the bartender's attention... I was still passed by and started making jokes. We were all having a great laugh. After finally getting a drink we sat down and had a good time. After some discussion I started with "some of..." and they BOTH finished my sentence... "...my best friends are black." (I've had black friends throughout my life; school, sports, business). Then they said something that stuck with me. (Paraphrasing) They told me they didn't appreciate the comment. They didn't feel like "black" Americans, but Americans. I ended up dating one of the girls for quite some time. We were terribly fond of each other.

I don't think your comments serve anyone; why can't we speak openly about the problems?
What civilized people flames it own community?

Obama had been exposed to poison for 20-years, and is the type of human solvent that inflames tensions. He sought out Wright, he accused the Police of being "stupid" (when there was no reason for him to insert himself into the equation)... was it due to his training? To think, it took Americans 20-minutes to understand what Wright is... Obama... it took 20-years and the pressure of a presidential campaign.

My girlfriend would have been sickened by Wright.
