I HAVE been poor. I got an injury. I got the surgery I needed. The local public hospital looked at my injury and then transferred me to a local Catholic hospital which had better services in this area. I only had to pay 20% of the regular fees due to my financial situation at that time as a graduate student.

There you go, pulling out that "most racists have a few black friends" line. Frankly, I am sick of it. People pull out the racist card so often when it is NOT warrented that it weakens it for the few that truly ARE racist. I have been called a racist before and, quite frankly, most of my friends are NOT white. It really means nothing on the one hand, but on the other it is an attempt to demonize without actually engaging in discussion. Attack the messenger rather than the message -- on page one of the Leftist attack manual. Seen it first hand. Not pleasant, but usually easy to counter.

Makes total sense to me. Most white racist claim to have black friends. The people who go on his show and claim he is a close friend? They probably cannot stand his white racist ass but they do it for their own reasons. Not sure what does not make sense about this.

You mean like the fake quotes that the left trotted out last year? You mean like statements that were actually factually true, but were taken to be racist (one I read a couple of days had to do with comments that Mandela and the ANC had Communist connections -- that is TRUE). Please come up with examples from a CREDIBLE source with full context included please.

BTW, this is an OPINION of yours, not a bona fide fact. You need to take basic lessons in fact-opinion. I wonder if you got those from your social studies teachers in high school, because my students get regular practice in it.

Example:

Fact: Washington, D.C. is the capital of the United States.
Opinion: New York is a cesspool for terrible, evil sports teams.

Interesting how you front an image of concern for blacks, while at the same expressing a derogatory view of those blacks that call Rush a close friend as a bunch of Uncle Toms. It betrays the basis of your position as being politically partisan rather than sincere concern about racism.

And NONE of those had the context of the statement. And the second is demonstrably NOT racist. That was actually based on fact. If that is questionable, the others without their proper contexts (which you have not provided) are also questionable. Provide the context of each statement and then we can talk.
 
I simply can't BELIEVE I am sticking up for Rush Limbaugh?!?!? I personally don't like him, but I also personally believe in fairness -- and some on here have made charges against him that simply can not be substiantiated...

And for those who think those quotes make Rush a racist, I guess you would have to agree that President Obama appointed a Latina racist to the SCOTUS...
