...because they are imprisoned for nothing? "Liberty" and "Freedom" are two seperate things and the U.S. affords far more "liberty" to its citizens than any other, which is why we have higher crime rates. Your remark was pointless. Or did I just explain your point for you?

On what basis do you claim that countries with less crime than us (such as the ones mentioned above) have less liberty than we do? Freedom House gave Canada and every Western European country a 1/1 rating, which is the best score...and the same score as the United States. To compare them to Middle Eastern nations is frankly ridiculous.

My point is that locking people in cages and subjecting them to daily ass rapes as punishment for nonviolent crimes is not only completely barbaric, but it isn't even necessary. Other nations have shown that it's possible to keep crime relatively low without draconian punishments.

Shall we talk about gun laws? This alone defines individual "liberty" as more distinct in the U.S. than others. Perhaps this has something to do with higher crime rates?

Which compliments my earlier statement that this is further embarrassment for the world to entertain themsleves with.

Do Canadians have the same 2nd Amendment protections that Americans have? No, they don't.

Don't break the law. How hard is that to comprehend?

But, but, but isn't a gun-carrying society supposed to be a civil society? Why do so many more "free" Americans need locking up?

Just to make sure I understand you correctly...are you saying that more gun freedom causes crime?
(BTW Canada and Switzerland also have very lax gun laws...but without the crime rates that we have.)

I do not find it funny he was beat up. I am shocked he is still alive as he totally messed up peeps money to the point where they have no clue what they are gonna do. Let me tell ya this-if anybody did that kind of thing to me? They would be lucky to make it to lockdown. That is how I roll. You take away everything I worked for? You best get ready to pay and it will not via the crappy Justice System either.

Color me a bad person cause I think pedophiles should be killed. Since we do not kill them? I think they should get really bad things in prision. I am a rape survivor tooo and they deserve anything and evrything they get while locked up.

Um...no. A gun carrying society mixed with a "cowboy/gangster" culture leans towards higher crime rates.

First of all..I didn't say this. I asked a question. But second...

Does Canada and Switzerland have a culture immersed in a cowboy/gangster mentality? We started out as revolutionaries then pioneers. This makes us adventurers and this never ended. After taking on thw world, we took on the moon. Are these other nations famous for their Capones and Billy the Kids? Hollywood has spent the last 80 years grorifying their criminal violence and alpha male status. There is a certain attitude America has that others do not have. We tend to have egos that need "defended" and this places Americans in a position where our individualism sets us aside form others. Our military is the most powerful in history and we dictate the mood of the globe. We like our sports violent (NFL) and our music aggresive (Rock, Rap).

I believe this attitude that has been cultivated for the last three centuries relates directly towards our higher crime rate, which has steadily gotten worse since the end of WWII.

What is your thinking about why our crime rate is higher? The water?
