At less cost then they do now. Again, you pay right now.

You truly don't get it do you. We don't want the government interference either way. We don't want the government doing anything that will artificially inflate prices and we don't want the government forcing private citizens to buy coverage. If you aren't covered, find a charity hospital/clinic and take your chances. It really isn't that difficult.
Neither side in an argument can find the truth when both make an absolute claim on it.

OK. I understand. You do believe it's OK for some to leech off others.

I really don't want government interference either but the private sector has shown they can not do the job. The profit motive is the major cause of inflated heathcare costs and it is draining every other sector of the economy. Our healthcare system is broken.

Hospitals have to treat you, insurance or not. It's law. Just go to any emergency room. The rest of us pay for that through higher premiums and costs. If you do not have insurance you should not be allowed to use the system the rest of us pay for.

Just ask the local welfare office.

Spoken like a true Liberal. Thinking that big government has all the answers.

The private sector doesn't have all the answers either. They have proven that over and over. There is just as much corruption in the private sector as in government. Hell, it's the same bunch of people.
Just look at Goldman Sachs, a huge player in the financial meltdown. It's CEO was also the secretary of the Treasury. What you fail to understand is that the private sector owns the government.

What is your solution to the healthcare problem?

But I would trust private sector enterprises, who are compelled to maintain efficiency and performance, over government , who is under zero obligation to do the same.

They are also compelled to maintain the bottom line and will do just about anything to accomplish that. No matter who suffers.
Profit motive and healthcare are not always a good mix. The state of the system today proves that.
I would love to see the private sector stand up and present a plan to make insurance affordible for everyone and to lower healthcare costs. Health insurance should not be the burden to society that it is. The private sector dropped the ball years ago. If they had done their job there would not be a need for heathcare reform and Obama could be spending his time screwing up something else.

Yes you can refuse treatment. No one is forced into getting something that they do not want. Until this HCB came along that is.

You overestimate your actual ability to pay.
If they required a lump sum first then I wouldn't get it.

    And you underestimate my ability.

What do you think is going to happen under Obamacare?
