I was also expecting geopolitical reality to change after barrack was elected.

    What a farce!

Yeah, he really pushed that single-payer universal health care right down our throats.

And that Push to close Gitmo. My head is still spinning from how fast he got that done.

You & Karl Rove call it denigrate. I call it having a president who understands that American foreign policy has international consequences. Now I know for a fact that Karl Rove knows that no U.S. president could seriously maintain the same perspective that made Bush President the most unpopular president ever and expect to serve more than one term. So why would Obama engage in such a stereotypical 'AMERICA! **** YEAH'-attitude? He wouldn't.

Because it is their only bargaining chip. They threaten war whenever they want food or need help ensuring that their entire country doesn't revolt. This is irrelevant of whomever is in power. How many rockets has NK sent in the last 50 years?

Because it is not in their best political interests to alienate the few people who would stand against the U.S. on the international stage.

Because the mullah's are not interested in diplomacy. It is a matter of what is politically advantageous. The power structure in Iran feeds itself off radicalized interpretations of the Koran. Without an enemy these interpretations are meaningless. So the Iranian government must continue to portray the U.S. government as an enemy of not just the leaders but of the people within that country.

BBC News - Nato members 'to send more troops to Afghanistan'

    You were saying?

I've already addressed this. Your entire post is just a rehashing of non-points from your article. Is it my fault you do not understand politics above a Reagan level? Not really. Is it my fault you rely on Karl Rove to explain things to you? Not really. What is my fault is that I've given you a feeding ground for you to throw out your red herrings.

While political opinion is indeed important and American foreign policy does have repercussions. I honestly could care less what the self professed enemies of America say about the sitting President. What I do care about is what our allies think us. So far? China, Cuba, Iran and North Korea saying that they hate Obama is not in my list of concerns. I'm glad they dislike Obama. When Germany, England and France start saying the same thing? Then call me. Until then you're using the opinions of people who for political reasons need to hate us to make your point about how bad Obama is.
Me and karl rove huh? That's almost as funny as the extra 1,000 troops the italians are sending to afghanistan. I'm guessing your assertion is obama can't deliver on the promises made during the campaign to gain the us all the cooperation we could stand. And you're glad he's hated in china, cuba, iran and nk? I think it's more like they know an amatuer when they see one.

As for bush's poor popularity, I wouldn't worry about that. He's no longer president. What you should be concerned with is Obama's. No president in my lifetime has seen his popularity fall as fast as obama's. It's really quite sobering. I don't hate obama but it's blindingly clear he wasn't even remotely prepared the position you people elected him to.

I'm not at all convinced his policies or his administration is up to the task before them. I'm not the only one either. Oddly only a few months after we were supposed to see the most significant political allignment in a generation things are going sour for the democratic party. You might just want to start wondering where the problems are. Here's your opportunity for some introspection. You might as well get over all that rove and I are being all biased and all. That's not the problem. Your president and your political party are the problem.

The world is a complicated place. Changing presidents in the US won't change the way other governments meet the needs of their respective peoples.

As a matter of fact, yes. During this process the demos couldn't even heard their own cats, and then race to the mics to blame the delay on repubs that they wouldn't let in to participate in the writing of anything. Then when it boils down, the demos had to bribe their own to get anything through. And the best part is that as the process went on, the American people don't want what the demos are shoving through. What a bunch of disingenuous, corrupt, cowards.

Well, A simple transfer of location to within the US borders, and I am sure in a few months we'll be hearing how sucessful Obama was at closing Gitmo from you....
