Maine to consider cell phone cancer warning

A Maine legislator wants to make the state the first to require cell phones to carry warnings that they can cause brain cancer, although there is no consensus among scientists that they do and industry leaders dispute the claim.

Interesting... based on the combination of alarmism and no consensus among scientists, I think that this can be handled by Cancer Offsets. Perhaps if you pay $100 a month to Al Gore's new company, Oncological Offsets, you can be proclaimed cancer-free for life!

Haha.

If that's the case then there should be a warning label on life, as living tends to cause cancers with it's genetic predispositions.

Why are conservatives so infatuated with Al Gore? :2razz:

I can prove life is the leading cause of death.... maybe they should just ban life.

I would think that natural causes (that is your Life subscription just ending) is probably lower than Unnatural causes.

I usually put my cell phone on speaker phone when I'm having lengthy calls, otherwise I find my head is really warm afterwards and I get a bit headachey.

I believe some of the research which says that it can cause health problems. Cell phones operate on low frequency microwaves and their full effects are not yet known.

No one ever calls me.

It's always text text text.

Considering there are lots of constant radio-frequency waves and other forms of radiation or waves floating throughout the air 24/7, I'd say cell phones are the least of the problem.

He is the poster child for all big con games.

Al says cell phones make him glow.

 I likes that.

I know this isn't the most scientific way to do things but...perhaps...if we look at cancer/brain tumor rates prior to when Cell phones were introduced, and look at their rate of increase (if any) and compare that with the number of cell phones and their rate of increase over a timeline, I wonder if we'd see any correlations...

Radio waves are ever present in our universe, along with background radiation and cosmic rays. Low frequency microwaves are not among them.

The question is, what are they going to do about it? It's not like everyone will stop using them.

Ah, but every one that was ever born died or will die..... 100% fatality rate.

I searched through that article and found no mention of Al Gore.
