Alright children, knock it off.
Please don't include me in the category of childish name calling. I have stayed above that.

Moderator's Warning: Keep all replies civil please.
If you're so smart and I'm so dumb why are you on the verge of getting banned?
You're obviously not interested in an intelligent debate, or just don't have the ability, so I won't waste my time any further.

Three posts of blatant name calling against two different posters and that is all?
LOL - the whiners are concerned about the judges clamping down on their competition - no surprise here.
You can call him all the names you want but it won't make you sound knowledgeable.
Sinking ships in the Hormuz strait, and blocking the movement of supertankers, which Iran threatens to do if they are attacked has everything to do with this discussion. Sounds to me like you are the one that doesn't have a clue.
I wasn't aware that during the Iran-Iraq war numerous supertankers were sunk in the narrowest part of the strait. Care to provide evidence of such an occurrence? I wasn't aware that sizable amounts of activity were at the Strait of Hormuz, care to provide evidence of such an occurrence? I wasn't aware that that during the Iran-Iraq war that either side was actively shooting at supertankers that were flagged by other nations. Care to provide evidence of such an occurrence?
And it's amusing watching people thank what is essentially a lie.
Our history of meddling in the internal affairs of other nations, propping up dictators, toppling a government, imposing sanctions and embargoes, supporting Israel, placing US troops on their soil, etc, etc.
What haven't we done to piss these people off? At some point, some will say enough is enough and strike back.
It's called blowback and not unexpected. Our problems are the direct result of an interventionist foreign policy.
Failure to recognize danger of the Axis during WWII, and refusal to recognize AQ's potential of hitting us, lead us to the two most infamous events in US history. Defense is the best offense.
Iran has every right to be pissed at us for supporting the Shay, but they paid us back already and need to get over it, and now they truly pose a threat to the area, which poses a threat to us.
So, if Isreal hits them, they brought it on themselves. The USA didn't bring it on them.
Iran must be made to conform to the civilized world before they cause anymore damage - otherwise it should go by way of Nazi Germany - rubble and bad history.
I am really so tired of reading garbage like this. Russia has directly controlled, terrorized, murdered far more people, in far more countries, than the US - and lo and behold, no one is blowing up their buildings.
The chechnyans here and there, but nowhere near what the US faces - so where does that fit in your equation?
It couldn't have anything to do with the fact that the US singularly accounts for 45% of the world's military spending, and perhaps not so much with being "proud" people? lolMuch, much better men have gone up against the U.S. and have failed miserably.
And why do you suppose this is? Because we are a proud, free people.
If we're at 45%, then how come anyone is worried about China. They should lagging light-years behind. It couldn't have anything to do with the fact that the US singularly accounts for 45% of the world's military spending, and perhaps not so much with being "proud" people? lol
Wow are you that Dumb on the subject ??? How much do you know about the Iran-Iraq War huh here are few items for you to go and digest.
Lloyd's of London, a British insurance market, estimated that the Tanker War damaged 546 commercial vessels and killed about 430 civilian mariners. The largest portion of the attacks were directed by Iran against Kuwaiti vessels, and on 1 November 1986, Kuwait formally petitioned foreign powers to protect its shipping. The Soviet Union agreed to charter tankers starting in 1987, and the United States offered to provide protection for tankers flying the U.S. flag on 7 March 1987 (Operation Earnest Will and Operation Prime Chance). Under international law, an attack on such ships would be treated as an attack on the United States, allowing the U.S. Navy to retaliate. This support would protect neutral ships headed to Iraqi ports, effectively guaranteeing Iraq's revenue stream for the duration of the war.
On 14 April 1988, the frigate USS Samuel B. Roberts was badly damaged by an Iranian mine, suffering 10 wounded but no dead. U.S. forces responded with Operation Praying Mantis on 18 April, the United States Navy's largest engagement of surface warships since World War II. Two Iranian oil platforms, two Iranian ships and six Iranian gunboats were destroyed. An American helicopter also crashed
Shall I go on or ready to admit you have no clue about the subject once again.
We cannot conform any nation that its people do not want to be. Saudia Arabia is much more closed off than Saudi Arabia yet no one mentions about conforming them or what about all the 2 billion people who still sleep in mud-huts that their ancestors used to sleep in?

You seem to forget that the only people that have been successful in blowing up our buildings and attacking us in our homeland have been Saudia Arabians who werw working with the CIA. Something the CIA does not want for the American public to know, but it is a fact that the terrorists of 9-11 were told what to do and how to do it by the CIA.
We were obviously lax and in a way brought on 911 by once again by meddling in the Middle East. You can thank the Bush Dynasty for that as they are heavily involved with the Saudi royalty.
You think all this started because of the Bush family. This began way before the Bush family. No doubt we meddle in ME politics; however, our being the target of the fundamentalist is more complex then this simple statement. Terrorist shifted to attacking the US and its targets because they knew the USA was soft and a prolonged war would sour in the stomachs of the USA public, e.g. Vietnam, current whining about us attempting to go after OBL, Saddam's prediction that if he fought the US like the VC fought the US the public could not stomach a prolonged war, etc. Also, until recently, we were wimps in punishing those that attacked us.
BTW it's not Shay it's Shah. And it's not Isreal it's Israel.
Thanks for the spelling lesson. I hope you never misspell a work.
Quite the simplification you have there TBone. We are still supplying arms to their ideological foes Israel, and fighting a proxy war is nothing new for us, but oh don't we get enraged when someone else is doing it.
Yep, as we supplied weapons to the Shah (check out the spelling), and to those that fought the Soviets all over the world, and to those in WWI and WWII and Korea.
You know, all those arms and stinger missiles we supplied to the Mujahideen in Afghanistan to kill the Russians, but we are outraged if Iran supplies weapons to insurgents in Iraq? Sounds like double standard to me. Oh wait I'm sorry we are the good guys and have never done anything horrendous to further our idealogy. My bad!
You really think that if we crawl up into a ball and say don't hit me, that they will stop. And, yes we get pissed if they supply terrorist organization with weapons. So, you saying it is okay for the enemies of the US to supply weapons to their allies? War is dirty and has strange bed follows, but you don't enjoy freedom because we gave our enemys flowers. Maybe, if we kicked the **** out of people more they'd be scared to mess with us?
Just want you to know I have no respect for the Mullahs or the retard they have for a president, and his shooting off of his mouth. And yes eventually Iran will get what is coming to them. But Israel hitting them will only bring out a hornets nest as many of the nuclear facilities are hardened and deep underground. As a former munitions expert I have doubts we even have what it takes to take them out.
Watch a special that is on Netflix that discusses Nazi Germany's underground network of tunnels to make missiles, jets, etc. The Brits used some ordinance to take them down. You think maybe we have some ordinance left over from the Cold War that can do the same? I think we have the stuff.

But the big difference between the two is that Russia is not a superpower anymore, it is a shadow of its former self. And now that Russia has adopted the system which the rest of the world uses it cannot any longer pose a threat to the USA.
