Iran Test-Fires Its Longest-Range Missile

It just so happens that a photograph has come back from Iran, showing the test firing of it's latest missile:

iran is making a fool of this president

he's completely impotent

what happened to his policy of personal diplomacy, preposterous centerpiece of his campaign?

why has he STILL failed to react to iranian freedom protests in june and december?

why did he ok nukes for the nutcases and deniers?

why can't he get hu and putin on board?

where are the RESULTS from all the reaching out, bowing and apologizing?

obama is utterly clueless, his foreign policy might as well be conducted by shirley temple

on another front, he wrote a personal letter to kim

My Way News - AP source: Obama writes letter to NKorean leader

LOL!

surely, the mentally il will now quickly come round

he's been touched

Our history of meddling in the internal affairs of other nations, propping up dictators, toppling a government, imposing sanctions and embargoes, supporting Israel, placing US troops on their soil, etc, etc.

What haven't we done to piss these people off? At some point, some will say enough is enough and strike back.

It's called blowback and not unexpected. Our problems are the direct result of an interventionist foreign policy.

You hit that nail right on the head! That is something those you want to bomb everybody into submission keep forgetting. And don't forget wars always lead to more wars and all kinds of problems. Just look at the mess we left in Iraq and the stalemate we are in in Afghanistan.

I wouldn't trust the Mullahs or that retard they have a president as far as I could throw a house, but it's obvious what they are doing. They know once they have the capability of nukes no one will touch them. They saw what Bush did to Iraq and they want no part of that.

The best defensive plan factors in an offensive response. Attack, or counter attack, there always has to be a plan to strike the enemy. So, not planning an attack strategy would be ultimately fatal to our national security.

What do you think it is Monday Night Football? Sorry my friend it's not a game.

I love when people blame America for 9/11. Blamsters, trufers and birfers. Gotta lov'em.

He's not necessarily blaming America. He could be just pointing out that many of the bad things that have happened to have been due to something we have done in the past and they seem to always come back to bite us in the arse.

What really irks me is the fine young men and women that have to die because some silver spoon yuppie president decides he needs to play power man.

Jesus it's that double spacing again. Why?

So you're signing up right Prof? Gonna show those Iranians you're a big bad man. What? No? You're going to stay an armchair general?

Do any military tours or are you just a self proclaimed War Hawk like Deadeye Dick Cheney?

Iran threatens U.S. with 'harm and pain'
VIENNA (AP) — Iran threatened the United States with "harm and pain" Wednesday if the U.S. tries to use the U.N. Security Council — which has the power to impose sanctions — as a lever to punish Tehran for its suspect nuclear program. USATODAY.com - Iran threatens U.S. with 'harm and pain'

So they're mad because we're meddling in their affairs. What have I been saying?:2wave:

Anyone who thinks AQ will just forget about the US if we withdraw to our borders isn't thinking clearly.

And don't forget wars always lead to more wars and all kinds of problems. Just look at the mess we left in Iraq and the stalemate we are in in Afghanistan.

Wars also provide clear solutions, in fact, ultimate solutions.

I wouldn't trust the Mullahs or that retard they have a president as far as I could throw a house, but it's obvious what they are doing. They know once they have the capability of nukes no one will touch them. They saw what Bush did to Iraq and they want no part of that.

It is obvious what they are doing and therefore...why not 'touch' them now while they're in the infant stages of developing a nuke?

So they're mad because we're meddling in their affairs. What have I been saying?:2wave:

So...we withdraw completely. Leave the entire ME to its' own....affairs?

Let them kill themselves and we can build up our defenses until we get a real threat, like missiles pointed right at us going to be fired tomorrow. If we can build up our defenses, why can't other people?

Iran's nuclear program is almost certainly aimed at dramatically overturning the existing balance of power in the Middle East. It is not purely "defensive."

Such a development would have profound implications for the region's states, and for the critical interests of Western Europe and the United States. When a state's critical interests are impacted, a state will take measures or, as you describe it, "meddle," so as to protect its interests. No rational state abdicates its critical interests and leaves those interests solely to the goodwill of other states, much less those that have typically taken a hostile approach toward its interests or allies.

Well we could say that all of this started with the Iranian Revolution right? Well why did that start? Looking at Wikipedia:

"The Shah was perceived by many as beholden to — if not a puppet of — a non-Muslim Western power (the United States)[23][24] whose culture was contaminating that of Iran."

Is that all they'll do is kill themselves? Has that been the history of Arab armies and Muslim expansion? Ever heard of Charles Martel?

And just to get this straight....you'd like to wait...until they're going to fire missiles tomorrow?

If we can build up our defenses, why can't other people?

Funny, Chamberlain said the exact same thing

I'd like to wait until we have evidence that they are going to attack us, otherwise we are creating blowback for no good reason.

Funny, Chamberlain said the exact same thing

No, Hitler was invading, not just innocently building up his defenses.

Let the **** hit the fan and let's get this ridiculous war over with...

What would you like for evidence? Uranium being spun into weapons grade? Longe range weapons being developed and tested? The promise that Israel is destroyed? The facilitation and funding of international terrorism. The IED and American soldier killing going on in both wars right this second.

No, Hitler was invading, not just innocently building up his defenses.

Hitler hadn't invaded before Chamberlain's peace in our time mistake.

On Oct 1, 1938

"My good friends, this is the second time in our history that there has come back from Germany to Downing Street peace with honour. I believe it is peace for our time [emphasis added]. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. And now I recommend you to go home and sleep quietly in your beds."

Germany invaded Poland in September, 1939. Funny, this is exactly your advice here.....go home and sleep and wait until the day before we're attacked.

So, was your decision to ignore the point CM was making deliberate, or are you really as ignorant of the history of WWII as your post indicates?

Let the **** hit the fan and let's get this ridiculous war over with...

My vote goes to the Commander in Chief that can prevent the **** from ever hitting the fan

 Then your vote goes to the guy who will ultimately fail to stop it, and then suck at dealing with it.

Making no sense, is that a learned talent or were you born with it?

Did Neville Chamberlain do nothing when Hitler wanted to expand? No, he rolled out the red carpet for him. I would have had no problem with him taking action there, but until then, was he doing anything wrong in terms of foreign policy?
