The Muslims look at this as a continuation of a 1400-year-old conflict that they initiated with the idea of converted the world to Islam. Pope Urban II understood the threat. Too bad with our political correctness of today that we not only don't understand the history, but condemn the efforts of our own side to fight back.
Yep they are the bad guys and Christians are the good guys. The record shows that. Got it.

If you believe that, you are not looking at the whole picture.

Remember the bombing in Lebanon? What about Iranian connected groups in Iraq?

Sorry, I thought you were refering to the US president, not the Iranian "president."

    Who started the Islam-Christian wars?

Who embarked on a centuries-long war to conquer Christian lands?

How many formerly Christian lands that were conquered by Muslims still under Muslim control? How about other religions? How many former Buddhist and Hindu lands are now Muslim. Why? Nearly all of it was due to military expansion. The major exceptions to that are Southeast Asia and parts of West Africa.

Has Hezbollah and Hamas repetitively attacked the US? No. And Iran saw an opportunity in Iraq to limit US mobility. Does this mean they are in the same war with Israel with us? Not really.

Still, the last President who had a good economy had literally night and day comments about Israel compared to the current president. People here frankly ignore how local unrest caused by weak economies causes less then democratic leaders to find other ways of gaining legitimacy. Despite being basic political unity 101 (and we often see examples in the US), it somewhat gets ignored.

Who needs mines? Just sink a few large ships in the strait. One doesn't need to entire close it off, just make it unnavigable for large ships, which really isn't that hard considering just how narrow parts of the strait are and how big some of the oil transports are. And hell they don't even need to attack. Raise the threat level to the point where insurance is not practical and oil prices explode. Raising oil prices to a ultra high point has the same effect as shutting down the strait in terms of hurting us via our reliance on oil.

You may not see it as the same, but I believe that Iran does. They see Israel as a proxy of the West, including the US

I wasn't commenting on the last president. That is not the reality of today.

You think that is so simple? It is a very time consuming operation, and it is hard to be sure you got all of them.
