Houston, Texas elects first openly gay mayor

How can you be unaware? The radical right has been demonizing homosexuals for the last two decades. They have been perpetuating the myth of the gay mafia, the gay agenda, the gay lifestyle to try to scare people about gay people.
The reality is....it does work. All you have to look at is the money that the right-wing, namely the Mormons spent in California during prop 8 to spread their lies and alter the election. It was one of the dirtiest and most deceitful campaigns that I have seen in my life.

Nothing the "Radical Right" can do will scare more people than those who either don't give a **** or enjoy the lifestyle because Pop Culture will always trump Moral Minority.

So? I'll see it differently if they elect a gay republican. Someone call Larry Craig.

That won't work. Larry Craig believes that giving blow jobs to other men in airport rest rooms is not homosexuality.

It isn't.

It's the courteous thing to do. :2razz:

There's no such thing as a queer steer...:rofl

mutually exclusive?
I personally observed a kid in east texas sticking his member into a young steers mouth, and getting a thrill....stupid kid did it in front of his little sister, and sister talked, and daddy beat his butt with a strap.
There you have it, a male calf going down on a male human, and violence as the end result. Try electing THAT kid to public office...

Only in Texas?

Steers haven't been weened long, they'll suck on anything...lol

Yes, what do you think don't ask, don't tell means? No one is allowed to ask about it and no one is required to tell. I know how the system works, because I was actully in the service. What unit did you serve in?

And no one ever talked about women or sex while you were in the military, right?

The reality is...gay soldiers either have to pretend to be straight or they are outed. Just look at the number of discharges since DADT.

Steers can't be queer. It's like a gelding can't be queer.

I'd say a steer with one horn or no eyes would be queer in comparison to others, and I've seen them. Your statement is now invalid! MUAHAHAHAHAHA!

That doesn't make him queer. That makes him steak! :rofl

Not that you would deceive anybody on the subject, right? Mormons are a very small percentage of the California population, and a small part of the combined effort to sway the results of Prop 8, but they are the ones being demonized by the gays. The Catholic church was heavily involved, and black voters played a large role as well...gonna dis the blacks now?

Prop 8 was in large part funded by the Mormons, and you are correct, they comprise such a small percentage of the California population. Why then were the Mormons so involved in prop 8 in much large proportion than Catholics.

You are also correct that black voters played a large role in prop 8 as well, but not in disproportion to the numbers in the population.

Anyone who has lived in Utah knows, the Mormon church controls the government in greater numbers than the population. When I lived there, Mormons comprised about 60% of the population and yet, they comprise 97% of the legislature.

Well, it'd be strange (queer) for him to be roasted on an open flame as opposed to living (in other Steer's eyes, I like 'em roasted), so yes, steers are often queer. :D

SEMANTICS!

The NAACP Takes a Stance Against
Prop. 8

Last week, the national office of the NAACP took its first stance on gay-marriage rights. The move thrusts the debate over gay rights in the black community back into the spotlight.

Back in November, the wounds in the black community over California's Proposition 8 were still fresh. The community was divided between more conservative leaders, often clergy, who oppose marriage equality for religious reasons, and civil- and human-rights activists who saw the ballot initiative to prohibit same-sex marriage as a civil-rights violation they could not countenance. While the California chapter of America's oldest civil-rights organization, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, had come out in opposition to Prop. 8, the national office had remained silent.

The NAACP has been walking a tightrope on gay rights. Polls show that African Americans overwhelmingly oppose gay marriage, but much of the high-level leadership of the nation's oldest civil-rights organization opposes legal efforts to deny gays the right to marry. Last week, the national office of the NAACP leapt into the fray when it sent a letter to California legislators urging them to support legislation that would repeal Prop. 8. After meeting with the National Black Justice Coalition, a black LGBT-rights group, and the leadership of the California State Conference, NAACP Chairman Julian Bond and NAACP President Ben Jealous agreed to come out publicly in support of repealing Prop. 8.

The move thrusts the NAACP into the middle of a fight that, until now, it has largely avoided, because of the risk of alienating both board-level leadership and rank-and-file members. The California legislature approved a nonbinding resolution yesterday describing Prop. 8 as an improper revision of the state constitution. The resolution contends that Prop. 8 should have passed a two-thirds majority of the legislature before being placed on the ballot. The California Supreme Court is scheduled to hear challenges to Prop. 8 on Thursday. ...........

Libbos are terrified of even remotely appearing racist, so you know they'll never go along with any of that.

The only folks white liberals can denigrate is......white folks Crap.

I'm glad to see everyone all excited about Houstonians electing an openly gay mayor. But, what if she turns out to be a complete dud? Well, wait, PBO is a complete dud and we see how race clouds your ability to see that, so I guess that answers my question.

Wow, what an incredibly stupid post! What if any one is bad with their job? Does her being gay make it more likely she will be bad? How is this relevant at all?

Not only did you not read my response to you in that thread, you didn't even read the article you claim is your "proof"

But as Savic herself acknowledges, the study can't say whether the brain differences are inherited, or result from abnormally high or low exposure in the womb to sex hormones such as testosterone.

How embarrassing you have to be shown what is in the very article you claim is evidence.

I think you must be new at this. Did I make a claim as to causation? Did I say the article proved what caused things? You are the one who makes a cause as to causation, which you have still lacked to back up in any way, just calling any one who disagrees ignorant. The ignorance here lies in another direction, with some one who thinks pointing out a random fact that has nothing to do with the claim made is refuting the claim. With some one who claims that "gays are not created, to believe so is a fallacy", but never offers one bit of evidence to back up this statement, and runs away from the challenge to offer evidence of his claim.

Most likely a combination of being gay and a woman  that will make her fail!

And yes that is highly sarcastic and is in no way my personal opinion.

Bison can be though. Bull bison do engage in anal sex with each other.

Got proof that there was more Mormon than Catholic involvement?
You lived in Utah? and you didn't get abducted and forcibly baptised in the dead of night? Damn Mormons, you can't trust them....:2razz:

Let me break this down for you.

You claimed a "study" gave evidence of genetic differences in homosexuals.

Then you decided to taunt claiming this was "evidence"

I pointed to the very study you were quoting that proved even the scientist who conducted the study could not confirm is was genetic and could be any number of factors including environment that led to her findings.

Its called reading carefully. You should try it before crowing how this proved your point only to be embarrassed later by quotes from your own study.
