New Poll shows Tea party more popular than Republican Party

Agreed....

(BTW----In my example, I said 3 adults...2 kids....because in terms of eating I lump a teenager in as an adult in the amount of food category)....

Sorry, missed that on the teenager. Count him as one+, teens eat even more than adults.

Yep, my Dad has a Big Green Egg. He loves it! What's the digital meter at the bottom of the Egg?

Its a bbq guru digi q. Maintains temp and monitors the meat so you open it less.

Its a controller, fan, and two probes..... Ill link you to it when im back at the office

No, you can't. This isn't a matter of opinion - it's fact. Demonstrate that one dollar's worth of chicken breast, and a bag of salad greens will make a calorically sufficient healthy meal for three people.

Already done that. Try reading the posts and links, then concentrate on avoiding trolling.

Buyers remorse among voters has set in worse than I've seen in my lifetime.

Then you really should have your parents' permission to be on this board.

I have done that. What you haven't done, is demonstrate that one chicken breast, and a bag of greens, will make a healthy, calorically, sufficient meal for three kids.

You also haven't demonstrated that adding olives, peppers, and salad dressing to three salads will cost $0.25.

You also haven't demonstrated that adding olives, peppers, and salad dressing to your one chicken breast and bag of greens will make a healthy, calorically sufficient meal for three kids.

You also haven't demonstrated that your one chicken breast and salad greens will make the 620 calorie salad in the link you posted (which included no quantities for any ingredients listed).

You also haven't demonstrated that you can buy a single chicken breast anywhere for $1.00.

You have demonstrated NOTHING.

You make a vague claim that you can buy a bag of salad greens for $2. A chicken breast for $1. Add $0.25 worth of peppers, salad dressing, and olives, and this will magically add up to 1860 calories that you will then divide into three meals, that will be 4 oz each (LMAO !!!!), and will feed three kids.

And ps, you have no carbs in your magical meal, so it is not a healthy meal for kids.

Actually, I was only showing that you can feed kids a healthy meal for the same price as at McDonalds.

Look it up yourself and prove this website wrong then. I'll be waiting.

I buy them every week. Do you ever go grocery shopping???

That is the caloric content of a link you posted that includes no quantities for ingredients. That is not the caloric content of one chicken breast, a bag of greens, and some olives, peppers and salad dressings - which is then divided into three servings for three kids.

Please demonstrate that the ingredients you listed (one chicken breast, a bag of greens and your additions of peppers, salad dressing, and olives) equals 1860 calories, which divides up into three servings of 620 calories each.

Also, please demonstrate that the ingredients necessary to achieve the caloric content above cost:

$1.00 - chicken (in the ounces necessary),
$2.00 - salad greens (in the quantity require),
$0.25 - salad dressing, olives, and peppers (in the quantity necessary).

That will be to feed THREE KIDS. So your $3.25 of ingredients must provide the stated 620 calories per salad.

And, 26g of carbs is NOT sufficient, nor healthy, for a meal. Approximately 50% of a healthy child's meal should come from healthy carbs, maybe as much as 60%. One gram of carbs = 4 calories. Your 26g of carbs here is roughly 104 calories of carbs. Not NEAR enough for a healthy meal for a kid.

Now, about your listing of:

1 oz salad dressing - 0.11 cents
4 black olives - 0.05 cents
1 pepprocini pepper - 0.05 cents

None of these quantities will add up to the caloric content of your 620 calorie salad (when added to your one chicken breasts and bag of salad greens), never mind THREE 620 calorie salads. And .... (and I can't believe this part is necessary) ... but PEPPERONI is NOT a pepper!!!!

Peppers = vegetable
Pepperoni = processed meat product, extremely high in fat.

Where the hell do you get 206 calories???

I would imagine she simply divided by three. You said you were feeding THREE kids.

Prove it. I've proven my point, you have yet to prove a single thing.

:rofl

I think you've just shown why I'm wasting my time here.....

Peperoncini are a variety of the species Capsicum annuum, like bell peppers and chili peppers. They are also known as Tuscan peppers, sweet Italian peppers and golden Greek peppers.

And the nutrutional information was PER SERVING.

Do you ever bother to read anything???

You, Gill, have proven nothing. You have not proven that your ingredients add up to the caloric content of the salad link you posted. And, you further, clearly have no knowledge of what IS a healthy meal for kids if you think 26g of carbs is it.

And, as to the pepperonci - I have never been so glad to be wrong. I simply thought you had a typo, and you actually believed that a pepperonci was a pepper (not an unwarranted assumption, based on your demonstrated nutritional knowledge).

And the nutrutional information was PER SERVING.

Do you ever bother to read anything???

Do you? List the ingredients necessary to create your meal. That would include quantities.

Demonstrate the ingredients add up to a nutritionally and calorically healthy meal for three kids.

Demonstrate you can purchase the ingredients for the stated amount ($3.25 for all three servings).

You have not done any of that, and you cannot - because it is impossible.

One chicken breast, a bag of greens, one ounce of salad dressing, four olives, and whatever quantity of your not-pepperoni peppers DO NOT CONTAIN 1860 CALORIES!

You said you could feed three kids for three dollars. Two dollars for a bag of greens, and one dollar for a chicken breast. You added on twenty-five cents worth of salad dressing, peppers and olives. That was total, not per serving.

Disneydude told you you could not feed three kids for under ten dollars. You said you could do it for three dollars.

ah.....i don't know where you can buy a chicken breast for a dollar, either.

oh...i've never shopped there. but you still can't feed three kids with one breast, equaling 620 calories per meal. laughable.

Your right. Better to buy whole chickens and butcher them yourself. It can be done imo. Not pleasant but it can be done.

i used to do that all time......whenever whole chickens were on sale, i always bought the limit (usually 3) and cut them up myself. we didn't have too much money back then......
