New Poll shows Tea party more popular than Republican Party

The Good Reverend just took this opportunity to show off his bbq....

Always worth it, you do have good food porn

Ok this thread went from full retard, to interesting...

Challenge...

Give me a budget, number to feed, and Let me see if I can cook it, serve it, and impress you all...

So lets say a meal for 4, that is what 650 calories? (2000/3), for what price...

Hell, lets make this fun, lets do a group cook, we all take the budget, and we all agree to cook one night and see what we all can come up with. pics and descript the next day....

Neat idea, Rev

Fewer calories, let's say 500 per meal (three meals a day of around 500, plus drinks and snacks will quickly put a person over the top for daily calories). I came in at around $6.50/meal for my hypothetical chicken thighs, carrots, brown rice and milk (buried somewhere back there, lol) for three people. But that was with leftover rice and milk

Oh, wait, you mean actually cook it? Okay, that could be fun. I'll get back to you in a few days though (already set for the next couple days - we do leftovers, unlike you foodies  ).

I say under $10 for three, cuz I told Disney that was really easy to do. Let's see if it actually is, with meals from different parts of the country.

Balanced, nutritious, and calorically sufficient, right? :2wave:

Honestly,

I think the Republican party is a joke. The current party supports attacks on the rights of Veterns (Nazi HOA from Virginia) and has members like Sara Palin (A goose-stepper if there ever was one).

The far right is responsible for the receission (We can thank Adolf Bushler and Joseph Cheney-Goebbels for removing the legal safeies that would have prevented the recession)

The American people are tired of right-wing greed-mongers on Walstreet, the idiot Republicans that ran the country during the Bush administration and they are sickend by the idea of another Republican president allowing more of the same.

This country wants a break from the Republican sponsored greed and rape of the American public by Republican owned big businesses.

Republicans are responsible for the current condition of this country and they do not even have the courage to admit it.

I also believe the Republican party is a joke. But then I also believe that the Democratic party is a joke too. They have Rev. Jackson (if you ain't votin' my way you ain't black) and Al Gore (the environmentalist with just one of his several houses having a larger carbon footprint than most subdivisions). Neither party is looking very good at the moment.

Add in Rep. Barney Franks who bashed the regulators and lenders into sub-prime lending or face closure.

Last time I looked, the Democrats are the ones supporting the greed-mongers on Wall Street with my tax dollars without requesting the honor of any accountability. I believe that mostly the American people are tired of politicians that spend and spend and spend. The major gripe I hear is how much Washington as a whole is spending money faster than the rest of us can earn it. And the last time I looked, President Obama was labeled a Democrat.

This country wants a break from the Republican sponsored greed and rape of the American public by Republican owned big businesses.

Republicans are responsible for the current condition of this country and they do not even have the courage to admit it.

Currently we do have a break from the Republican sponsored greed and rape of the American people. We are now under the Democrat sponsored greed and rape of the American people. While the Republicans have some responsibility for the current condition, I believe the Democrats do too. And neither of them will EVER admit it - they will just continue to point fingers at each other and use Politics of Mass Confusion to continue spreading the wealth into their own and their supporters' pockets.

A fair point. There is a lot of finger pointing; however, when the **** hit the fan Republicans were at the helm and that says a great deal about who is responsible.

Wrong Vader very wrong while Mr. Bush was the President he was the reason why we are were we are nor is it the Republican Party the reason we are were we are. That falls right on the Democrats going all the way back to FDR and the New Deal.

But if you really want to know why we are were we are is because we have a two party system that only looks out for themself not for what is best for America and untill my fellow Americans wakeup till this problem we will only limp along with quick fix's. It's time that We The People start being We the Americans and get ride of party's.

Well, wait a minute. When the initial melt down started taking place true enough that republicans were in majority in house and senate, however, the demo's were standing in the way of nearly every attempt to reign in out of control entities like Fannie and Freddie. A good clip to watch is here:

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MGT_cSi7Rs&feature=player_embedded"]YouTube- Shocking Video Unearthed Democrats in their own words Covering up the Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac Scam that caused our Economic Crisis[/ame]

Then the demo's took over in '06 on the promise of cleaning up what they themselves had helped in creating, with calls for more open transparency, and a new era of ethics. What'd we get? not only the same BS but on steroids.

You think the demo's now care what their constituents think, or want? Take a look at what the people are screaming, and then justify what demo's like Pelosi say on any given subject, it doesn't match. These fascists are going to do what they want, people be damned.

Actually folks it's time for all of us to go and read what James Madison wrote in the 10th Federalist Papers.

1. Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae have helped countless Americans get a good education.

2. Republicans tried to crush the loans given to college students because they do not believe they should have to pay for it. **** them. Title 4 funds are here to stay whether the goose-steping righties like it or not.

The dems had to prevent right wing stupidity and silly elitest morons from making difficult for poor people to go to college.

As to your next point; yes, you are correct. Neither the Dems nor the Rep-nazis give a damn about the people. However, the dems were willing to provide assistance to the people. The right-nazis were not.

Oh look ... another righty blaming FDR and the New Deal for a problem created by conservative greed.

Bush was nothing but Cheny's bitch. Cheney is as far right as it gets. Nothing happened without Bush-tard's signature; however, you must bear in mind who was pulling Bush's strings and what party was in control at the time.

That party was the Republican party. As such, the Republicans are responsible for what happened.

It was during their watch the saftey regulations designed to keep the greed-mongering wallstreet assholes in check were removed.

DO NOT attempt to deny the republicans were responsible for what happend. That is bull**** order. The republicans are ABSOLUTELY responsible.

Hey Vader first off you need to chill out second if you have not noted I'm not a republican nor am I a Democrat I'm register as an American you know what we are when we are born in this Country it's time for all of us to stop are loaytiy to teh Party and start being Americans I suggest you might want to go and read what Jame's Madison wrote in the 10th Federlist Papers.

Second I suggest you go and re-read who put forth those changes starting way back with FDR and going forth both parties are at fault and should be broken up since they are a Monopoly. I dare you and anyone else to change your votere registeration to say Americans because right now in my eye all of you are nothing but Party Hacks start being Americans for the first time in your life and demand OUR Country back from these Charletons.

demand OUR Country back from these Charletons.

The Charletons? From down the block? But they're such a nice couple, I can't imagine them taking over the country.

So, you're encouraging the creation of a Conservative party to replace the GOP? What is it that you're hoping to gain by that, exactly?

The complete, utter, and total fragmentation of the Republican Party.
We may end up similar to Italy with many political parties, and where little ever gets done.
Who is the "leader" of the GOP?
Dr No?:rofl

1. I am neither Republican nor Democrat.

2. I do not like either party because both are terribly corrupt beyond all home of repair.

3. Federalism no longer exists in this country. Federalists found their behavior made it difficult for them to get elected... so they change their title to "Republican".

That's not really the point. I never said you couldn't feed three kids in an economical way. In fact, I argued exactly the opposite. You CAN feed three kids a healthy, balanced, nutritional meal in an economical way (without throwing in random teaspoons of peanut butter!).

HOWEVER, Gill is FOS with his bag of greens and a chicken breast feeding three kids a healthy, nutritional, balanced meal for three bucks.

Disneydude at least admitted you could feed three kids a healthy meal for less than ten bucks.

Not ole Gill. He's sticking to his one dollar's worth of chicken, two dollars worth of salad greens, and twenty-five cents - combined - worth of olives, salad dressing, and peppers. Three dollars, twenty-five cents total.

Absolute horsehockey. Any reasonable person would concede an error, or misstatement.

You should really read the original posts that started this ridiculous topic. DD said you could feed three kids at McDonalds for $3. I said you could feed them a nutritious meal at home for $3. I'll stand by my statement. A grilled chicken salad is just one of many choices for a cheap, nutritious meal.

Just for fun, I checked at the grocery store this weekend:

Bag of mixed Romaine salad: $2.28 (three servings per bag)
Chicken breasts: $6.50/3 lb. bag ($0.54 per 4 oz serving)
Peppers: $1.78 per bottle ($0.05 per serving)
Olives: $1.28 per can ($0.07 per serving)
Salad dressing: $1.69 per bottle ($0.20 per serving)

It's a little more than I originally thought, but still a hell of a lot better meal than a single cheeseburger. I seriously doubt you could get a kid to just eat a cheeseburger for a meal. Mine always insisted on french fries to go along with it.

Would you rather your kid ate a cheeseburger from McDonalds or a grilled chicken salad??? Never mind, I think I know your preference.

Try and keep up next time.
