Economy limping back to strength

Of course it cannot, and i never stated it could. However, it has been proven (time and again) that government can spur demand.

Yes. They can break a window thereby giving a window repairman a job.

Unfortunately they never mention the guy who owned the window in the first place. Him they screwed.

Do you have anything of substance to add? I know, it would be a first, but I have to ask.

Irony alert! Irony alert! This is not a drill!

Indeed. Big government, obscene spending, outrageous deficits for expansionary years, additional social and entitlement programs. Bush was a liberal. Now, if only our partisan hack here could admit it.

GWB ran on a conservative platform and ran to the center once in office.
BHO ran on a liberal platform yet follows through on the vast majority of GWBs policies including bailouts.
The speech last night was a ludicrous example of flippity flop flip flopedness.

On issues that matter...they are the same. On cosmetic issues no one in power cares. The people can be allowed to think they can enact change. It costs those in true power nothing.

You are aware APDST that government transfer payments help keep crime rates (more so fraud and theft) low.

I'm not going to pay a robber $10 so he'll stop robbing my house. I'll call the police or shoot him.

only 5% of climate scientists agree with radical repubs on global warming.

They protect us from intimidation. I'll grant you that it's not ideal, but it's the best solution that there is.

you pay the police quite a bit of money.

Indirectly. However, I'm not going to pay the guy who's robbing me. I'd rather pay the guy who's protecting me. You know, incentivize the good work rather than the bad.

taxes are pretty direct. they come right out of your own pocket.

no solution is ideal. so socialism is the best solution to crime. and redistribution of wealth.

Proof? How is incentivizing failure a better solution than incentivizing crime fighting?

incentivizing with redistribution of wealth is socialism, according to sarah palin.

" Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. " - Matthew 5:44-45

from the greatest liberal of all.

How am I being a hypocrite now?

It is, and I don't support redistributing wealth in order to lower crime. If you want lower crime, pay the police more in order to get more protection near your home (this is already done indirectly through alarm systems).

well, i guess loving your enemies and being a peacemaker are not necessarily in contradiction with libertarianism.
