Economy limping back to strength

Stop trying to pigeon hole me. I'm fine with protection provided by government against intimidation.

Join the club. But it doesn't change the fact that Phoenix was arguing distinctly anarchist views which emphasized might makes right. I have no illusions about just how greedy, corrupt and dishonest people are.

He may not be, but the argument he presented very much is. And his argument on the basis of actual practice is total and complete garbage.

My argument was intended to make one point.
Wealth and landownership exist without government. Which it does.
Not that I think it's a good idea, as I have said before I don't support NO government but it needs to be severely limited. the amount and scope of government we have now is a detriment, not a benefit.

voluntary agreement? so taxes are bad. we should have a bake sale to pay for the wars in iraq and afghanistan.

War bonds.
Not only is it voluntary but it gives the people a real voice in the decision to go to war.

I don't disagree with you about neutrality, but how is the government supposed to pay back those bonds without taxation?

True enough point. I was commenting more on a specific use of funds than the overall abolition of taxes. Obviously we need some form of taxation, but back to my original theme, the amount needs to be greatly reduced (and spending reduced even greater prior to the tax reductions)

Are you aware of the negative that will have on the economy? If welfare was eliminated, Walmart would be shaken ;)

Oh I hope not. I buy everything from Wally World. (and get amusement watching the people also!)

No they don't.

Depends what you mean by welfare. Straight hand outs? No. But the recent string of allowing banks to borrow from the fed at low rates and then buy higher rate government securities is essentially welfare. We are giving them the spread profits for free.

Actually he is right, they do get welfare, it's called bail outs or stimulus. I was just making fun of his three word quips that lack very much substance. I guess I should have choosen "yes they do" instead.

And their lending profitability potential is unlike anything we have ever seen in since the existence of lending itself!

You are aware APDST that government transfer payments help keep crime rates (more so fraud and theft) low.

So Bush is a libbo according to you? :2wave:

Do you even know who Henry Paulson is?

Are you so busy trying to hide your partisansip that you're incapable for having a real conversation?

I don't think he's aware of any of the basics here other then "blame libbos for everything."

You don't even know what planet you're on. Go look up some more acronyms to make yourself look smart. Good luck with that.

lol.

Let's review a little history here.

The bailouts started under Bush. The largest bailout was orchestrated by one Henry Paulson. Now, while Bush was clearly a liberal in many aspects, you seem to be unwilling to admit this. And Henry Paulson is not a liberal by any real measure.

Watch:

Are you so busy trying to hide your partisanship that you're incapable for having a real conversation?

All I needed to do was correct your spelling to turn that around.

So are you going to be consistent or a hypocritical partisan hack?

Amusing coming from a user who 1) can't read properly and 2) has yet to disprove a single thing I wrote.

So, you're a grammer nazi, too?

Good luck proving that. Hey, I got an idea, if you can do it, I'll donate $25, if you fail, then you have to donate $25.

Do you have anything of substance to add? I know, it would be a first, but I have to ask.
