Vladimir putin will sell Siberia t o China

If nothing else, Russia is looking to expand it's influence & land holdings....
Just like the good old days.....
Many people believe that Russia must be our friend now that they are a 'democracy'.....
Nothing could be further from the truth......;)

We have fresh water, arable land, and few factories.

We don't make anything important anymore.

It's all... MADE IN CHINA.
:2wave:

And yet we account for 1.277 trillion dollars of the world's exports. I guess it's because we don't make anything important that we have such a huge money worth of exports. Get your head out of your a$$. China's exports goods bought at wal-mart, USA exports good used to make China's exports possible.

We have a lot of factories actually. If we didn't we wouldn't be ranked number 3 in the world for factories.

And we have so many natural resources and are able to produce enough foods to feed our entire nation so we don't really need to rely on anyone else. Most nation's....no. No other country in the world can say that.

This thread is about China buying Siberia from Russia, or did you forget? It won't be sold, because Russia isn't going to give away their oil.

Or natural gas or coal or large diamond reserves or large timber reserves or just the largest lake in terms of fresh water concentration. Or give away more than four million square miles of land that would be just stupid. The Russians' are not the French you know?

Are YOU gonna put 50 screws into a computer case in 30 seconds for 8 hours for 1 dollar an hour?

...

Didn't think so.
China still owns us.

You totally missed my point. Please reread my post.

We have fresh water, arable land...

Yea, they're only the two most important things for sustaining a civilization, but whatevs...:doh

...and few factories.

The U.S. doesn’t NEED to produce a lot of things domestically; that doesn’t mean we’re incapable of it.

We don't make anything important anymore.

It's all... MADE IN CHINA.

That's because they have an abundance of dirt cheap labor. It has nothing to do with their relative production capabilities. America has a level of technology and automation necessary to out-produce anyone.

But our stuff is expensive, of bad quality, and no one wants to buy it.
Look at Detroit.
:)

Putin isn't the ruler of Russia anymore right?

I've been wondering for years why countries stopped selling their land. We bought Alaska and Louisiana and most of our other territory back in the day. Nowadays when Mexico or Russia or Kenya needs a loan they should just sell us a new state/vacation spot instead. It seems like a much better way to build overseas bases than defending South Korea or invading Iraq, and probably cheaper too.

Not that we have any extra cash lying around. Ironically, 70% of the people in Louisiana and Alaska would be against buying a new territory.

Arch enemy posted (No.

We stop consuming their products and they're ****ed. That's completely different than what's going on in Siebria. China has large companies mining *insert mineral material I don't understand here*, and nobody does anything about it.)

True we by consuming their products have helped to make China once again the Richest country in the world.
Where you fall flat is your supposition that the USA will somehow stop purchasing Chinese manufactured products.
I would agree it may well be true that Chinese economy would be discomforted by such an action, but *****ed? I very much doubt.

How do you know what people in Louisiana and Alaska would want? You're from Virginia! :rofl

Acquiring the resources out of siberia has similar technical and logistical problems of economizing environments on other planets. The weather is unearthly there.

(I mean sure its earth weather but you know what I mean)

The biggest problem with that is: do you really WANT the hordes of Mexicans or Kenyans or whatever that would come along with it? We're not going to just brush them all off of the land when we get it. The reason it was ok to sell Louisiana or Alaska is because basically no one was living there. Very few places are like that today.

I have no problem adopting the entire world into our nation as long as we do so by peaceful means and not by force. And actually Louisiana was populated since at least 12,000 BC by tribes including the Chitimacha, Coushatta, Choctaw, Tunica-Biloxi, Cherokee, Houma, Atakapa, Caddo, Washa, Chawasha, Tunica, Bayogoula, Acolapissa, Quinapisa, Mugulash, Tangipahoa, Okelousa, and Adai peoples, and Alaska has been populated even longer by the Aleut, Inupiat, Yupik, Tlingit, Haida, Tsimshian, and Eyak, among others.

Back then, you could eradicate unwanted peoples, if you wanted to.....;)
