I call bull**** on this one.

Doesn't matter. China pretty much economically owns Siberia.

Economic borders look completely different than Political one.

The same exact way they own the USA.
:rofl

No.

We stop consuming their products and they're ****ed. That's completely different than what's going on in Siebria. China has large companies mining *insert mineral material I don't understand here*, and nobody does anything about it.

It would cost the Russian government too much money and too much hassling to travel to Siberia and throw the Chinese companies out, as they are providing jobs for Siberians.

The Japanese tried that in California and got their asses handed to them.

If we stop consuming their products, they are not "****ed". They will have a recession perhaps, and then move on. They have the supply. We have no supply, just demand, and no capability of creating supply. The Chinese can create their own demand. They can have supply and demand in their own country with their own money and resources. All we have is demand. We have no supply. We have very few factories. We need their supplies or WE are "****ed".
The Chinese have actual things that have actual value.
We have green paper which we claim has value. Heh.

It would cost the Russian government too much money and too much hassling to travel to Siberia and throw the Chinese companies out, as they are providing jobs for Siberians.
Besides, without immigration, Russia would die (as in, everyone dies) in 100 years, because more people die in Russia every year than people being born.

No, they didn't.
They were American citizens with Japanese ancestry, who were successful businessmen, and the government put them in concentration camps, and whites stole their businesses, so when they got out of the concentration camps, they had nothing left.

You seem to love injustice.

If they were selling Siberia, we should take it. Once global warming hits, that place is going to be AWESOME!

Nope.
It is swampy.
It will be a disgusting pool of muck.

Besides, we can't afford it.
The Chinese would have to finance the purchase...
(they finance everything we do)

What are you talking about? There is a **** load of natural gas, mineral, metal, and oil under that land. Once it thaws and you can easily mine it out...you'll be swimming in money. Scrooge McDuck style!

Your mind is in the wrong era.

The Chinese could really screw us over if they wanted to. Military conflict we might be a challenge. Economic or Cyber war, and we'd be left by the road-side, bloodiest cadaver

I'll bet it comforts you to think that's true. Get a grip, they can't screw us without screwing themselves.

But we can screw them. They get many benefits the first world countries do not, especial reprieve for environmental concerns. I see no problem with adjusting tariffs to offset their purposeful manipulation of our currency. And if we're really worried about carbon offsets and environmental damage, we would account for that in imports. All which would hurt China.

Bold: Please explain yourself.

"They can't screw us without screwing themselves". Now why don't you explain this one too, while you're at making stupid comments.

No, you'll be stuck in mud, watching miserably as a fortune bubbles away.

I don't know where you're getting this. America has massive amounts of fresh water and arable land. Our production capabilities are also prodigious.

We have fresh water, arable land, and few factories.

We don't make anything important anymore.

It's all... MADE IN CHINA.
:2wave:

Because currently it is cheaper to get it from China. If it is cheaper again to get it from American factories, production will move back that way.

Are YOU gonna put 50 screws into a computer case in 30 seconds for 8 hours for 1 dollar an hour?

Didn't think so.
China still owns us.

This thread is about China buying Siberia from Russia, or did you forget? It won't be sold, because Russia isn't going to give away their oil.
