AP source: Palin book sells big in first week

That's a helluva start for a woman that is claimed to be "irrelevant" and a "Train wreck" by those on the left.

NEW YORK Sarah Palin appears well on her way to becoming a million-selling author.

"Going Rogue" sold 700,000 copies a number that includes pre-orders in its first week of release, according to a publishing official close to the former Alaska governor. The official was not authorized to release the sales figure and asked not to be identified.

Thousands show up at Ft Bragg.

Palin Draws Thousands to Book Signing at Fort Bragg - FOXNews.com

Sarah Palin drew a crowd of over 4,000 on Monday to her book signing at Fort Bragg, though the former Alaska governor kept her appearance from turning into the kind of "political platform" that some military officials were concerned about.

Palin did not give a speech during her three-hour stop at the North Carolina Army base, apparently living up to her pledge to tone down the event after Fort Bragg officials expressed concern that the visit could prompt grandstanding against the Obama administration.

"It was just a peaceful crowd -- orderly, no one making any strange comments that I know of," a Fort Bragg official told FoxNews.com. The official said close to 4,500 people showed up, many braving the cold and rain as they waited for hours to meet the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee. The official said about 500 people had to be turned away when Palin had to leave.

As some one else pointed out in another of these threads...Dennis Rodman sold alot of books too.

By the way, why do you liberals start all these threads on Palin?

This doesn't seem to mean much, how many authors break a million and how fast?

I guess she would popular, but she isn't a JK Rowling, that's for sure.

Yeah, we get it. You like Sarah Palin. It's also obvious by now that anything said that doesn't involve praise of the woman, you will take as a personal attack or insult. I know it's hard for you to get around using regurgitated talking points, but please try.

700,000 people out of 300,000,000 American citizens bought her book. 3,000,000 people voted for Ralph Nader in 2000. If Ralph Nader is still irrelevant what does that make Palin?

LOL......train wrecks ALWAYS generate a lot of attention.

that said.....Grim.....you should work hard to make sure that Palin gets the GOP nomination in 2012. I'd be happy to help.

Strawman argument as usual, 300,000,000 population; name a single author that sold a book to each citizen. I await your response. I have the book, the woman knows how to write. You're right DW, she's no JK Rowling who writes fiction. I'm sure the liberals will make sure it doesn't out sell the Communist Manifesto.

Your inability to understand what a strawman argument actually is astounds me. The OP asserted that 700,000 books supports the claim of relevancy of the author. What I've established is that in a country where there are 300,000,000 million citizens somebody selling 700,000 books means absolutely nothing in regards to relevancy. To support this I've brought up examples of people having what may seem like 'many' supporters but still being irrelevant in the long run. Would you like for me to explain what a strawman argument actually is or would you like to stick to one liners from now on so that I don't notice you enough to make you look silly?
