AP source: Palin book sells big in first week

That's a helluva start for a woman that is claimed to be "irrelevant" and a "Train wreck" by those on the left.

I read a bit of that book. It's a cry fest. It's all about how all her bad decisions weren't her fault, that it was always something else not her. Cry cry cry whine whine whine. Her biography couldn't even be ghost written well.

I heard it's only 5 chapters long. Is that true?

Bull****, if you read the book you wouldn't say that. You're obvious lying or cherry picking. But why should anyone believe you, all you do is try to bash both sides, and never land on the side that actually has to take responsibility for anything at all, especially getting someone elected. You give libertarians a bad name, by making them look like malcontent sideline whiners who never get anyone in office. Forturnately we have a few around here who are conservative enough to understand reality.

Wow....someone needs to change their tampon. I didn't read the whole of it, I started reading it and when my IQ started going down, I put it away. It's a trash novel. Nothing more, nothing less. A little bitch fest like your post here.

And both sides deserve to be bashed because they are both problems. Now go whine in the corner to yourself because no one cares.

I think that the Ken and Barbie tour of 2012, would be a real hit in this dancing with the stars mentality that we have going on in this country. Romney/Palin, can you imagine the crowds these two lookers could attract, I think they could easily win in 2012.:)

I think your IQ was already down. Liberatarians have add zero value to political change, do you realize that? No one will respect you until you give up silly notions of legalized pot and other such things. Bashing conservatives will not get you in office. Libertarians are not even perceived as constitutionalists, but closer to anarchists. That's your rep, except among yourselves. Fix that before you bash the rest of us.

I hear a lot of crying coming from your direction. My IQ, I can damned well guarantee is well higher than yours. And there's nothing wrong with objectivity. It allows one to gauge a system accurately and respond to the root problems. Blind partisanship which is endorsed only by the stupid cannot address root causes.

i seriously don't think a ticket with palin would ever stand a chance. and i REALLY don't think the republican party would nominate her, for that reason.

It wouldn't be my choice, but you never know, they did nominate McCain, and everyone I know......they thought this old white guy didn't have a chance in hell! Personally, I voted for Barr, but it is Palin that even gave McCain a chance to win, if not for her, Obama would have won in a landslide!

I think there was a lot of excitement about her when she was new and no one really knew much about her. However, after being exposed to the limelight for some time, I think people have figured her out. As such, currently she would be a determent. If the GOP wants to compete, they need to go the traditional conservative route without the religious craziness. They need a new Nixon, one not as paranoid who would spy on the DNC, but one capable of international relations, who can get us out of the wars, and can focus on American prosperity and needs.

I agree, I see either Romney or Pawlenty rising to the top. If they decide to go with Huckabee, I think they will lose, as people are really tired of the far right religious groups. These people are as bad as the far left loons, they all want to control our lives, and most americans just want to be left alone, period!

I don't like Romney because he's just not honest with his political platform. You never get the sense that you know what he's about. Huckabee couldn't win, and I don't think he would want to run again. I think he found the golden ticket. If you are a political commentator, you can run your mouth as much as you want and very few people will be terribly critical of you. It's why you wouldn't see Hannity or Rush run for public office. Why take the pay cut and the added stress and criticism? I think the GOP may have to reach down into its pockets and find the people the previous neo-cons had discarded. The actual conservatives who will act to limit government.

given the climate at the time, i'm not sure reagan could have beat obama. the country clearly wanted a new face that looked nothing like george bush. dragging palin with him was mccain's desperate play for "the base".....but even that didn't work.

i was watching haley barbour refuse to say palin was qualified to be potus the other evening, and realized probably 99% of the republican powers think that although she draws crowds, she's not presidential material.

hannity and rush have too many skeletons to run for office.

What? Reagan could beat Obama hands down. People want to talk about Obama and charisma....Ronald Reagan had that extruding from his very person. No one, not even Clinton, could talk to the People the way Reagan could.

Oh Huckabee is running, don't kid yourself. As for a conservative in the party, there are some, a very few, but they had better start soon, as they are not well known at all.

Indeed, there will not be another like him for some time, but we sure could use that man right now.

That's the route to go though, someone not quite as prominent. Maybe take a look at governors. I always liked taking the President from State governor positions as the governor is an executive job, taking out of the Congress maybe doesn't have the best of all outcomes.

I agree, I am looking for Tim Pawlenty to come up huge, especially coming from a blue state.

I am currently rather amicable towards Pawlenty. I would have to hear more of his platform and get some more data before decisions can be made of course; but from what I heard he seems like a politician who can do some real good.

not after 8 years of bush, he couldn't have. reagan had the great fortune to run against jimmy carter.

We need a radical change, but I fear we will not get this change in the next election, but anything would be better then the current path we are on.

It may be tougher after Bush, but I think Reagan could do it. But basically you're saying the only reason Obama won was because he had the great fortune to run after Bush.
