People have been dying from vices since the dawn of humanity. We just keep adding more and more vices.

What the hell? This woman should be charged with criminal negligence. Do you know how much food this fatass would have to consume to store an extra pound of fat and water per day?

No one should be charged. He made the decision to overeat and he reaped the repercussions for doing so.

Did he get up and go to the kitchen everytime he ate? Nope, he had his wife bring it to him. She had to do so knowing that she was slowly killing him. That's criminal negligence.

Negligence - failing to act in the manner that a reasonably prudent person would in a similar set of circumstances. <- No reasonably prudent person would continue to assist this man in his efforts to eat himself to death.

It's criminal negligence in this case because the guy died. Whether or not he died because of his own voluntary actions is irrelevant, the woman is still criminally negligent, in my opinion.

I agree. Want to join me in a raid on the Hospitals? Destroy every piece of life-sustaining equipment, every piece of medication, pretty much wreck the entire hospital... with the exception of the people-- unless they're attached to a life-sustaining equipment.

Darwinism does not just mean "fat people" or "800 pound people". Unless I am mistaken and Darwin studied the "Survival of the Skinniest" where he went from island to island trying to figure out where fat people came from, and how skinny/fat people evolved.

My post was an assertion that if you want to speak of "Darwinism" against "fat people" then you better be prepared for "Darwinism" against people who are genetically susceptible for cancer, or heart disease. Shut up or put it 'ombre.

and it's called sarcasm.

If the man was stuck to the chair and needed constant care, who paid for the food.

The amount of food needed to gain that much weight had to be enormous so who paid for it?

If you supply, lets say a bottle of asprin, to somebody knowing they are going to take the whole bottle and kill themselves, you are liabel for that death as you facilitated it. If you hadn't brought them the bottle, it wouldn't have happened.

Same in this case.

If she brought him a gun and he shot himself, she would be charged.

Why wouldn't she be liabel for killing him with food?

It's tricky. It's hard to tell at what weight or amount of food a person can die. It's different for a lot of people.

Ever heard of the Darwin Awards?

In the context of the discussion, it was abundantly clear to most (obviously not to you) that the poster meant that people stupid enough to get into this position were worthy of death via 'Darwinism.'

Get a clue - this isn't a discussion on natural selection or random mutation.
