They don't have to get along. What they need to do is split Iraq into three separate countries. Forcing them to live together is asinine.

The western powers really screwed up the Middle East when they took possession from the Ottomans at the end of WWI.

..and it's still a royal mess as a result of their interventionism.

    Sure you don't.

Obama said he would be transparent and finish it. So Obama must have it planned out so your questions should be addressed to him. You don't like it when we look to Obama the one in charge who should have the answers and should do what he said be transparent.
Obama said a lot of stuff.

Doesn't change the fact that the underlying problems of Afghanistan haven't changed. You seem completely unwilling to even acknowledge that Bush never dealt with the key problem, but you have absolutely no problem bashing Obama on the same problem.

That's extreme hyperpartisanism at it's absolute worst.

Africa is a good example of what happens when you force people of different tribes to live together.

Iraqis share a population of three distinct tribes that ultimately will have to get along whereas Afghanis share a population of dozens of individual clans that have more interest in clan preservation that a future community as a whole.

There is a world of difference between the two.

The haggardness of poverty is everywhere seen contrasted with the sleekness of wealth, the exhorted labor of some compensating for the idleness of others, wretched hovels by the side of stately colonnades, the rags of indigence blended with the ensigns of opulence; in a word, the most useless profusion in the midst of the most urgent wants.Jean-Baptiste Say

Does nothing and saying Iraq is smarter when they destroyed their country over tribal strength also does nothing. The people of Iraq over the last few years did not show they were well educated.
