AP Turns Heads for Devoting 11 Reporters to Palin Book 'Fact Check'

Palin has already started her election campaign with her book.

And all of the talk shows, speeches..... kinda just like Reagan did in the years before he ran, and won.

Be afraid.... be very afraid. ;)

And it doesn't bother you that she's a total incompetent moron?

And it doesn't bother you that she's a total incompetent moron?

Only incompetent partisan morons think she is incompetent.

Personally, I like her a lot more than the incompetent moron we have as POTUS now.

And it doesn't bother you that she's a total incompetent moron?

No more than John Kerry is a total incompetent moron, or Barbara Boxer, or Nancy Pelosi, or Harry Reid, or ... should I keep going or is the point taken?

Do you know how many people at the AP fact checked Obama's first and second book?

"0" That's how many.

How do you know? Prove it.

All we have to do is find a single AP story about his books that questions a fact, and you're proven wrong, you know.

Gof find one, then.

This is why the Libbos are so afraid of Palin.

President Obama recently stated that he "probably won't" read Sarah Palin's new book. But his possible opponent in the 2012 elections trails him in personal favorability by only seven points (54 percent to 47 percent). Among the critical segment of independent voters, they are virtually even (Obama at 50 percent; Palin at 49 percent).

This is why the Libbos are so afraid of Palin.

Do you think if you keep repeating that line it will magically become true?

He did not make the claim.

So, you insisting that Grim prove a negative?

Misterman said that all he had to do is post one AP article fact checking PBO's book and Grim would be proven wrong. To that, I say post it.

Why else would she be getting smeared the way she is?

How is she getting smeared? Is it somehow the APs fault she was not entirely accurate in her book? Is it not kinda stupid to complain that something you put out in public is examined by the public?

So, you insisting that Grim prove a negative?

What happens every time you make an unsubstantiated claim? You get called on it and you complain. Same thing. If you make a claim, you better be able to back it up. No one has offered any evidence that only Palin's book was factchecked.

Why would AP go after Palin's book and not anyone else's? It boils down to fear. I said before that sales had nothing to do with it, but in reality they do. Palin's going to win even more fans, after the book comes out. The Libbo press had to head that off by discrediting the book, even if they had to twist the facts to do it.

it's quite obvious what's going on here.

Why would AP go after Palin's book and not anyone else's?

They haven't gone after he book but not anyone else's. That's just inaccurate.

Remember, the liberal media doesn't exist

Sarah Palin is no normal politician, and at the Associated Press, apparently "Going Rogue" is no normal book.

When the former Republican vice presidential candidate and former Alaska governor wrote her autobiography, the AP found a copy before its release date and assigned 11 people to fact check all 432 pages.

The AP claims Palin misstated her record with regard to travel expenses and taxpayer-funded bailouts, using statements widely reported elsewhere. But it also speculated into Palin's motives for writing "Going Rogue: An American Life," stating as fact that the book "has all the characteristics of a pre-campaign manifesto."

Palin quickly hit back on a Facebook post titled "Really? Still Making Things Up?"

"Imagine that," the post read. "11 AP reporters dedicating time and resources to tearing up the book, instead of using the time and resources to 'fact check' what's going on with Sheik Mohammed's trial, Pelosi's health care takeover costs, Hasan's associations, etc. Amazing."

The organization did not review for accuracy recent books by the late Sen. Ted Kennedy, then-Sen. Joe Biden, either book by Barack Obama released before he was president or autobiographies by Bill or Hillary Clinton. The AP did more traditional news stories on those books.

This really is shameless. 0 for liberal books but Palin gets 11 fact checkers

Consider the source of the story... The GOP network.

Ok, pove that. Show us one Leftist author that has been critiqued in the same fashion.

Your analysis is really lame and blind to the fact that GOP partisan hacks quote Obama's books constantly--:2wave:

And are we now accepting an editorial network as a source for news??

Yet when I called someone else on an unsubstantiated claim, which was not favorable to the topic you came to the rescue with trolling and nonsense... so somehow I'm not too enthused with your sudden claim of clear insight and analysis. Seems if you agree, you'll defend unsubstantiated claims but if you do not, you call it whining.

So pardon my ignoring you on this type of subject matter because you're credibility is in the ****ter so far.

Irrelevant since there's no evidence to suggest any one news source has sent multiple "journalists" to fact check his book.

And are we now accepting an editorial network as a source for news??
Depends if it's liberal or conservative and what you're personal views are. You seem to find no issue with Palin's book being fact checked, yet you'd be the loudest whiner were it Obama's book instead.

Never in the history of politics, have I ever seen anyone attacked the way the media has attacked Palin. If she had stolen millions from the Alaskan treasury, or was a grand wizard of the KKK, then I might understand it. The only thing she's done, is dare to be a very popular conservative woman.

What's so funny is, they invest so much time and resources attacking the woman, while at the same time proclaiming she's a "joke" and she doesn't matter politically. If she doesn't matter, then why is she such big news to them?

Dr. Patrick hit the nail on the head. Sarah Palin is the hot topic for the Conservative movement. That's why she's in the press so much these days. Frankly, I don't find her to be that news worthy or that high up on the political chain, but she's making headlines and as such the media will do whatever it takes to find a story about her - any story. Her book and the back-and-forth accusations are what's making news about her right now. It'll die down when both sides decide they've had enough.

It'll die down when Palin ceases to be a threat the Leftists.

It'll die down when Palin ceases to be a threat the Leftists.

It will die down only when the Left either a) sees that their tactics are backfiring or b) can't get any more traction out of their unrelenting assault on Sarah Palin. Or both.
