AP POLL: Tax the rich to pay for health bill

"Boo", isn't a black thing. It's something you hear Cajuns say alot. it's along the same lines as, "baby", "babe", "sweetie", etc. It's a term of endearment, which is why I can't figure out why Whip keeps using it.
I never heard a real coon ass say boo. They say beb for sweet heart and shâ for dear.

Boo is what they say in the ninth ward.

Seems this poll finds that a majority no longer believe in equality. Or don't care as long as they get their way.

What do you mean by 'equality? -- your response is sort of confusing.

Then, you've never been around real coonass...:rofl

Actually, "beb", is a variance of, "babe", and, "cha'", is short for, "mon cheri".

Looks like you went to New Orleans on a do-gooder mission and learned just enough to make yourself look like a dumbass...:rofl

You obviously don't know much about Cajuns, shâ.

You're right! I only married one, from Vermillion Parish. I still live in Vermillion Parish. What the hell could I possibly know about'em?...:rofl

Although I wonder if the number of people they got off welfare because of the tests would be enough to cover the cost of the testing itself.

Executive Summary

The value of the full package of welfare benefits for a typical recipient in each of the 50 states and the District of Columbia exceeds the poverty level. Because welfare benefits are tax-free, their dollar value is often greater than the amount of take-home income a worker would have left after paying taxes on an equivalent pretax income.

•In 40 states welfare pays more than an $8.00 an hour job. In 17 states the welfare package is more generous than a $10.00 an hour job.
•In Hawaii, Alaska, Massachusetts, Connecticut, the District of Columbia, New York, and Rhode Island welfare pays more than a $12.00 an hour job--or two and a half times the minimum wage.
•In nine states welfare pays more than the average first-year salary for a teacher. In 29 states it pays more than the average starting salary for a secretary. And in the six most generous states it pays more than the entry-level salary for a computer programmer.
•Welfare benefits are especially generous in large cities. Welfare provides the equivalent of an hourly pretax wage of $14.75 in New York City, $12.45 in Philadelphia, $11.35 in Baltimore, and $10.90 in Detroit. For the hard-core welfare recipient, the value of the full range of welfare benefits substantially exceeds the amount the recipient could earn in an entry-level job. As a result, recipients are likely to choose welfare over work, thus increasing long-term dependence.

I think that is worth it, especially if you do it on a 'random' basis...;)

I went to law school in New Orleans.

How does one become a Cajun?

The same way a person becomes a Slav, or Italian, or French, or British, or an Arab. Ya kinda gotta be born into it. Ya know what I mean?

Going to law school Nuh'wallins doesn't even come close. Especially since New Orleans isn't even in Cajun Country.

Yes, because we all know that taxing the rich more will alway increase tax revenue...

Oh wait...
