It really should be patently obvious to any half way intelligent person that if a group of people within a population are to be advantaged in some way, that the remainder of that population are going to be disadvantaged.

I stand 100% with his original comment.

Its one thing to have what he said. Its another thing to broadcast racial slurs (which it seems to say was a part of this) to close to 800 state employees. Whether it was an accident or not, that's just unacceptable.

And the notion that "They" do all the carjacking, robbing, etc is just as ignorantly broad stroke racism as the immediate assumption and accusation that a white person that happens to shoot a black person is automatically racist.
 
Sounds like he forwarded the same stupid chain e-mail that we all get from time to time. Ooooops.

It's a shame that it even matters. Oh well, I guess we have to protect the good name of the minorities from those ign'ant white males!

I'd check out the guys arrest record and case work as well. It is not exactly uncommon for racist prejudices to result in gross injustice. Personally, I don't really care if he is racist or not, but I do care that he does not abuse his powers as a law enforcement officer.
 
I'd say that he got what he deserved. People need to take email seriously. I can't imagine doing something like that, he's lucky he didn't get fired. He needs a class in office ettiquette at the very least. What a moron!
 
Without knowing exactly what epithets he used and in what context it's a little hard to make an intelligent comment on this tiny snippet of a story.
To some on this site if you go too far by talking about Obama using the truth and facts and backing them all up with Obama's own while providing links to video of him saying things you can be still be called a racist, by the intelligence & intellectually challenged among us. I just saw it today.
Racial epithets are in the mind of those who read or hear something they don't like. I am offended when I hear Black brothers calling each other nigger. Some can't say 10 words without bringing it up in everyday conversation. The same people tend to call all women hoes and bitches, use ignorant terms found only in Ebonics and acceptable to some but offensive to most normal people. And yes I am saying the people I'm talking about are not normal. They go out of their way to make sure everyone knows they are doing it generally deliberately to illicit a response or to stand out in a group.
I know this to be a fact but don't you dare AXE me how I know SUCKA. :rofl
15 days off is no big deal. Everyone needs to know that even email you delete is not removed from the server and the same goes for every text you send and receive. So be careful what you say even here because Carnivore is still monitoring everything along with echelon. Have a nice day.

My question is, did this yahoo actually use the term "white pride", or was that added by the writer of the article? The use of that term by the trooper would include him in some very unsavory company, the adding of it by the writer would be a biased escalation of the issue.

Does it matter? He's white. It was clearly demeaning to black people (They have feelings too, you know!) What more is there to know. This guy is lucky some Civil Rights lynch mob isn't after him.

The email has nothing to do with Michael Richards, this is a mantra from the White Supremicist movement. In fact, if you Google the entire thing with quotes, you get a list of Supremicist forums including Stormfront.
So the trooper is a hardcore racist. He should not be in a profession where he is serving justice to minorities. Here is the original email, a chain letter for bigots:

Fifty years ago, this was standard fare, and any "misbehaving" black man would be lynched.
Several hundred years to eradicate racism, lets start now...or a hundred years from now, then by 2500 this will be an unpleasant memory.
And, the so-called "Black Americans" do have their work cut out, as well.

I always like to look on the bright side, that is, when I can......and there is a bright side. That is this, once we finally do go belly up, we will not have the luxury of political correctness. We will be too busy surviving, and that will be one of the good things that we will be able to point to when the dollar does crash!

Sadly, many in poverty are black, and hispanic, but color blind we will all become, when it comes to protecting or family, and what is ours.
 
I think *way* too many people are *way* too sensitive about this entire issue.

On both sides.

Actions speak so much louder than words. Prove him a racist instead of relying on an obvious pissed off rant.

Was it bad judgement to sent the email? Absolutely.

It sounds to me like a chain letter who are fed up with other people shoving their issues in their faces. It's cry baby threads like this that create racism.

When you take a guy who deals with scumbags all day, everyday and most of those scumbags happen to be black, hispanic, or asian, what do you think is going to happen? It's been my first hand experience that there are alot of members of the minority community in this country that need to take a long, hard look at themselves and ask what they're doing to cultivate this attitude.
