After spending binge, White House says it will focus on deficits

24.7B may not be much compared to the federal deficit (the mass of jupiter barely compares to the federal deficit, after all), it's an awful big cut to doctors' pay

That's a conundrum for any serious budget deficit reduction effort. Smaller groups stand to lose disproportionately and have an incentive to mobilize to preserve their cashflow from the government.

IMO, if such cashflow from the federal government is to be preserved, offsetting measures should be adopted to pay for such expenditures. If they're not paid for, then they should not be extended. The longer-run costs (additional deficits, interest incurred on such deficits, long-term adverse macroeconomic impact from increasing structural budget deficits) to the nation, even if they are spread out among the population as a whole--outweigh the benefits.

it's what underlay reid's cynical attempt to slice off of obamacare and account instead against the national debt his quarter T doc fix

of course, the fix failed on the floor, 47 to 53

I'm well aware of the political maneuvering that was attempted on that issue vis-a-vis the health care legislation and am relieved about the outcome, though I am concerned that it is temporary.

hi, mr sutherland, i really appreciate your thoughtfulness, sobriety and self respect

doctors, the way i observe it, object to extreme cuts in their pay mandated from on high, as well as their being increasingly forced into these exchanges that schedule their pay at such piddly rates as medicare plus 5, for instance, which kent conrad and many, many others have declared repeatedly will destroy health care in their more rural districts and states

it's, like you say, a conundrum

and, yes, the half T of cuts to m and m used to keep cbo off baucus' back are never gonna happen

the whole thing is just an entire mess

reid seems to be scheduling health care to death

that is, he's not moving

no way it can be finished by state of the union

ie, big trouble

actually, lieberman and nelson have already declared, and others, like bayh, are known, as well

even mr reid and this white house are beginning to understand the meaning of 40 + 2

I really need to stop typing posts when I'm pissed. I leave letters and even whole words some times.
I guess I was thinking about the disclaimer I was forced to put on all my blogs from now on.

It goes as follows.

Keep it civil and try not to be like a Liberal and call people names because you don't have a grasp of the facts or a better idea. Use your intellect not your vocabulary, and keep it clean. Foul language is not going to cut it. There is no such thing as a temporary ban or second chance. If you’re banned it’s for life the first time.

Due to the Patriot Acts 1 & 2 and Obama's Web Czar the following in now in effect.

You must register to post and all personal information will made available to: homeland security, the FBI, NSA, CIA, NCIS, CSI, BSA, the ABA, NBA, NFL, ABL, NBL, WBA, ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, Fox News, C-Span, YM& YWCAs, AMA, SPCA, and PETA, only if requested by a legal Local, State, or Federal Court order or we receive an email or text message from anyone just asking about you.
:rofl

The sheep in this country might fall for this absurd half-measure(even you can even call it a "half"), but I doubt the chinese are buying this, as well as anymore of our debt.:doh

I thought that was what Rush Limbaugh and you Republicans were hoping for.

Alright bro, I've sat idly by as you flaunted your bias/ignorance but I really feel I ought to say something. First of all, you are not hot ****, bro. As far as these forums are concerned, you were never "Special Force", as you so eloquently put it, and you didn't go to law school (A few criminal justice classes at your local community college doesn't count as law school, bro). Your opinion stinks just as much as the rest of ours, except in general, we don't pretend to be something we are not. Maybe I'm just crazy, but I think if you want to be taken seriously here, just be honest. If you don't know something, google it, and back it up. It's OK to be wrong on the internet. It's not ok however to pretend you're awesome and everyone around you has a tenuous grasp on things. Just deflate the ego a little bit, bro, and enjoy the debate instead of trying to prove something to us.

However, if you really are hot **** and you can somehow prove that you did go to Law School and that you were Special Force, I will graciously accept my humbling and pay a little more attention to what you have say.

I wouldn't mind it --- maybe it would put a nail in the coffin with liberalismk for the next 30 years while we recouperate. But then again, that might be the plan and Obama will have to remake American in his own high minded image, as king poobah. Isn't that what the Democrats are hoping for?
