Paratrooper's Mom Begs Obama: 'End It'

We would be the bad guys to them, they'd be the bad guys to us. Stop asking leading questions, it doesn't make you appear witty.

Trying to get people to see the difference between local rebels against our occupation and terrorists. A very important distinction.

When I say bad guys I am speaking in moral terms.

Rand is a civilian company. Sorry if I don't totally buy into their idea that we've been defeated.

The Pentagon considers the Rand Report to be the most authoritative report on terrorism to date.

Let's see a more authoritative report?

You just cannot trust those liberal think tanks.

So, the Pentagon agrees that we're losing the war? That the war on terror is a failure?

The headline is somewhat deceptive. It does say that current strategies are the wrong ones though.

The Pentagon agrees with Rand, that everything we've done, to date, is a cluster ****? Seriously?

What the hell are you talking about? A civilian company? Well they can't possibly have a clue since they are a civilian company. Hey...aren't you a civilian? :rofl Do you know ANYTHING about the Rand Corporation at all?

They've been analyzing U.S. military strategy and policy for over 50 years.

Civilian company, yeah...they really don't know what they are talking about.

Oh look! It's the legend in his own mind...lol

So, how many military personel work for Rand?

This is typical, "I agree with them, so they're the Alpha and Omega", line of BS.

No where have I claimed that the Pentagon agrees with this. There is a difference between making a claim, and not making a claim. You have claimed that Rand is a "liberal think tank", I have not claimed that the pentagon agrees with Rand.

I will say that Rand is the foremost group doing what they do, and I tend to give their studies alot of credibility.

You never support anything you post. You only attack others for what they post, then never accept their sources, claiming they're not credible enough for you. There's no amount of documentation in the world that will make you happy. You're purdy much a waste of everyone's time.

And that is where you are wrong. You made a claim, I called bull**** and asked for citation. You provided a link that debunked your own argument. When I pointed this out, you said "well prove me wrong." You're own link proved you wrong. Then jackboot came in and shot you down.

You and I are still stuck on your original point. Now admit you were wrong or substantiate your argument. Once you do that we can move forward. You asked me to prove you wrong, that has been done. Ergo, my argument is supported.

See how that worked?

Now, you go.

Catawba said it right here,

The Pentagon considers the Rand Report to be the most authoritative report on terrorism to date.

You never challenged that comment, so I figgered you agreed with it.

Then, you say it here,

I will say that Rand is the foremost group doing what they do, and I tend to give their studies alot of credibility.

In other words I caught you slipping, again...and you really have no counter. :rofl

It debunked the numbers , but not the original point. How many times do I have to explain that to you? Do you need remedial reading classes, or what?

Naw, you just come in shootin' off your mouth. Nothing new there.

Then, you say it here,

Hmm, considering them the foremost authority does not mean the pentagon agrees with them. For our next lesson, we will teach you about reading comprehension.

By the way, I don't reply to everything I don't agree with, so the whole "you did not disagree, so you must agree" thing ain't gunna work.

You're doing it again. Do you know what I am referring to?

Ding ding ding!

I know! I read his comment and it made my head hurt. I was thinking..."what the hell is he thinking?"

:rofl

But, but, but, they've been hired by the Pentagon to do these studies and they're the formost authority, so they must all be in agreement! Or does it just boil down to Rand saying what you want to hear, you feel you're superior to the rest of us, so there it is?

What in the **** does this even mean????

Anyone that fought against our invasion we called terrorists.

Iraq or Afghanistan freedom fighters = terrorists

This way we could say we killed more terrorists and less civilians.

Well, by all means...the 9/11 terrorists were just misunderstood and merely freedom fighters themselves. Those Tali-Ban supporters? Merely minding their own business. The unlimited supply of religious fanatics that have joined the fight (on their territory; not ours)? Merely misguided and in need of a good hug.

How dare we ever have an enemy. I love how people attempt to philosophize the problem away.

The vast majority of everybody killed by American hands has been the enemy. The vast majority of slaughtered civilians were murdered by their fellow Muslim. But the real magic of the Middle East is how a civilian and a militant look exactly the same. Uniforms no longer decide who gets killed anymore. Collaberation, involvement, and assistance does. You may see a dead civilian on TV. The troop on the ground or higher intel may not.

You already know that it's all America's fault, anyway.

Whatever, dude! We all know your deal, my man.

So in other words even you can't interpret what you're saying. Fair enough. And what did I spin exactly? Do you know what the term actually means?

:rofl

Gunny, Gunny, Gunny...you're better than this.

Why do you feel the need to completely mischaracterize your opponents argument? Nobody, not a single person has gotten anywhere close to this kind of position.

How dare we ever have an enemy. I love how people attempt to philosophize the problem away.
Identify one quote in this thread where anyone tried to do that.

You make a very good point.
