Lou Dobbs quits CNN

Re: Lou Dobbs to Quit CNN

I never really listened to Dobbs, didn't know he was conservative.

He was OK during his first stint on CNN, his second... I don't know what the hell was going through his mind.

I wouldn't label him a Conservative.

Right leaning OK. Conservative... ? Nah.

.

conan last nite joked---cnn's gonna replace dobbs with a man name juan who works for five dollars per hour

Stossel definitely wins in the hot stache dept!

Are you kidding? Stossel will never match the luxuriant sculpted hedge of the StacheMaster.

If you recall, Dobbs was a MAJOR Bush basher. Almost every night, Dobbs left room in between his illegal immigration rampages for at least a few minutes ranting on how futile he thought the Bush Administration was.

Fox will not approve of his past record bashing Republicans, particularly Bush and Cheney. Although, stanger things have happened.

Off Topic: Did anyone catch South Park last night? Cartman as Glenn Beck? Priceless!

I just wish Fox would have come out and said they were leaning right, and be the first honest network on television today. We all know the others lean left, but this fair and balanced stuff, it just doesn't hold up to scrutiny. This is not to say they lie, or they are dishonest, but they do cater to the right, and that is something that was missing in our society, and it took some business man from another country to cash in.

This is something we should all be ashamed of, we are pretty dumb here, we allow ourselves to be lead around like sheep.

Baaaahhhhh.:(
fox is not dishonest? lmao.

I've always felt that Lou Dobbs was a straight shooter. Frankly, it's impossible to be a money/economics person and not identify the negative impact of illegal immigration on the middle class.

Geraldo Rivera? Mort Kondracke? Juan Williams? Alan Colmes? Bob Beckel? Susan Estrich? Mara Liason? Lanny Davis? Pat Cadell? Etc, etc, etc.

Fox CONSTANTLY has liberals on their shows in major roles on a frequent basis. Always have, always will. Liberals refuse to be honest that the only "fair and balanced" discussions can be found on Fox. You can't get properly vetted discussions on CNN or MSNBC.

And I haven't even mentioned the NUMEROUS appearances by Dennis Kucinich, Al Sharpton, Terry McAuliffe, and others.

Pat Buchanan is about the only conservative you ever see on MSNDNC. And CNN will throw a token weak-voiced conservative out there for the others to dogpile on.

There's a reason people only watch Fox News these days. It is the only source, along with Drudge Report, to find out the true skinny on what's going on in the world anymore.

None of the aforementioned are major prime-time hosts. In fact, with the exception of Geraldo (who is a Republican, btw) and Colmes (former co-host, i.e. Hannity punching bag; was removed); the rest are frequent guests. I was insinuating that if Dobbs went to Fox, it would be to host a commentary show, much like the one he hosted on CNN. I can't think of many Fox primetime commentary hosts that were critical of Bush...Dobbs was.

I agree. I watch Fox.

I think CNN has some decently balanced discussions. MSNBC is rediculous.

Absolutely.

It could be argued that Buchanan is crazy.

I would hardly call Bill Bennett, Amy Holmes and Mary Matalin, weak-voiced.

They also created the phenomenon we know as Beck.

i used to like lou dobbs, but i think he went off the rails with his immigration stance. every show was focused on illegals.

i realize it's a huge problem, but it's complex and expensive to fix. just demonizing the illegals does no good.

Open borders doesn't work either.

never said it did.

close the borders, beef up security, and most importantly, FINE EMPLOYERS WHO HIRE ILLEGALS.

i am for amnesty, at least for those who have committed no additional crimes since they've been here. but only because of the massive expense and effort involved in deporting them.

Lou Dobbs is the reason I don't watch CNN any more. It was not just his tired illegal immigration shtick, it was that he just came off as a whiner. I am not a Fox fan(though I do sometimes watch some of the shows on Fox), but at least they do not employ some one just so blatantly annoying as Dobbs.

uh-oh....you really don't think hannity or o'reilly are annoying?

i don't really watch any news, i find them all infuriating.

Not nearly to the same extent.

I'd say Beck is the most annoying person in "news" atm.

Hole'Reilly is just past his prime and he knows it, and Hannity seems like sometimes he tries not to step on anyone's toes and then other times he's being super crucial of the simplest things...I don't get either of them, but neither as as bad as Beck, and Dobbs was probably closer to a Hole'Reilly

Beck makes me laugh(at him, not with him). Dobbs makes me want to throw things at the TV.

hannity reminds me a a dick tracey cartoon. big headed fool. you're right about beck, although i have to say i've never watched a full beck show.

I watched Beck a time or two when he was on CNN. He wasn't full on crazy then. Plus, as Beck stated after he left, CNN made him 'fact check', Fox doesn't.

I am gonna miss Lou but if he runs for office he will not be getting my vote.

I'm thinking now that Fox is not in Dobbs' future....It sounds more like a run for public office.

I haven't watched cable news for a long time but I was impressed by Lou Dobbs crusade to get the 2 border patrol agents released. I'm really not interested enough in his career to care much about what he does after leaving CNN.

Lou Dobbs was the only one on CNN worth watching

CNN is now officially nothing more than a whore sucking white house ****
