I wonder how many "compassionate" Co-op "Medical" Marijuana dispenseries we would have in California if pot was given FREE to Cancer, A.I.D.S. Waisting disease etc. patients and nobody made a dime ?

Don't know. How many pharmacies would we have left if other drugs were distributed for free to those who needed them?

Actually you have a point. California law requires that dispensaries be structured as nonprofit cooperatives or nonprofit collectives. Most dispensaries are structured as "for profit" operations, and as such, violate the law.

Actually a head shop sells just the paraphernalia. Although in a state where it is legal for so called medical usage they could also sell pot as well.

But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

Actually Godwins law only applies to bull **** comparisons like when Bush bashers make of a comparison of Bush to a nazi dictator. Not when someone is making a point about accepting or turning down charitable donations from groups.

People have a right to turn down donations from groups or individuals they view as questionable or feel that they might legitimize that group or compromise theirs by accepting donations from certain groups and individuals.

Still, he noted, food and monetary donations are very much needed because of the poor economy.

Solberg said he was at first unaware of the nature of Munday's businesses. He said he finally realized, once he got off the phone with him, that they were medical marijuana shops.

He said he does not support them and their proliferation.

"They are all over," Solberg said, calling them a "pestilence" and "travesty" in the community.

Solberg said he believed the food offer was made because the marijuana collective was "trying to validate themselves."

Some people do not buy the oh its for medical reason. Pot dealers will be seen for a long time as drug dealers by many people and therefor seen as no more different than a crack or meth dealer.

RLF, if i can offer a bit of clarity. If Christ were to return, the absolute last thing/instance/worry of his would be in regards to cannabis. In fact, he would probably go to Africa where all the real trouble and pressing issues are.

It is a ****ing plant, not porn. If it were a porn shop, well maybe you would be on to something. But it isn't....
It is not very unreasonable that the rich should contribute to the public expense, not only in proportion to their revenue, but something more than in that proportion.
