An announcement is expected Thursday. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because the announcement has not been made.

The endorsement, in advance of floor votes as early as this weekend, would be a major boost for President Barack Obama's signature issue.

The seniors at the Tea Party gatherings, town hall meetings and at meetings with the AARP where they voiced their opposition to the AARP backing the healthcare plan including the vast denials by the AARP, has apparently finally come to fruition. We knew it was happening months ago... I'm glad the AARP finally knows it now too.

AARP is playing a dangerous game and is risking a serious backlash when the truth about the total cost to every Citizen is made clear.
AARP is not in business to help anyone except themselves. They are in it for profit not so pure but very simple.
This is a major error in judgment.

It should be interesting to compare enrollment rates of AARP from Jan 2009 to Jan 2011. Once Seniors realize that they have been sold out by their "Advocate", the smelly brown stuff will meet the oscillating air mover in a big way.
