Dick Cheney would be a retired V-P, just like he is now.

Rush Limbaugh would be the highest paid radio talk show host in America, just like he was before Bush/Cheney were elected.

Dick is retired? He's out flapping his gums more today than when he was when he was VP and pulling Bush's strings. But today he is using Rush's rehetoric as a crutch.

Who would you say are the leaders of the GOP today?

You don't think that there is a HUGE portion of the GOP that look to Palin as their party leader? (I think Jallman would disagree with you).

Are you kidding? The last poll I saw among Republicans had Palin running a distant third. And as the preferred choice as 2012 candidate, she was in last place.

Who are these so-called GOP big wigs?? Did Michael Steele endorse Hoffman?

Dick Armey, Sarah Palin, Rudy Giuliani, George Pataki, Tim Pawlenty, Tom Cole, Darrell Issa, Dana Rohrebacker (sp?), Michele Bachmann .... I'm sure I'm missing some.

This is great news.....

Didn't Sarah the Ex-gov Quit on her commitments in midstream...Remember the Great State of Alaska....Drill baby Drill?

I'm kinda glad the rightwing chooses a person of this character to led their party..

Did you actually think that somewhere in my post I said Palin was the leader of the GOP?? If you did, I suggest reading it again much slower.

Who do you believe leads the party today?

The last poll I saw had her in third...but it was a close three-way race.

You consider these "big wigs?"

C'mon Gil......who do you believe is the true leader of the GOP today?

I don't think there is one single leader at this time. Yesterday's election might bring out some new prospects though, since there is a smell of blood in the water now.

Sarah made Robo calls....she pulled it out for them...we all know...:rofl

Ok....fair enough. Who are the leader(s) of the GOP today?

Obama got bitchslapped.

Well, right now you would have to say that Boehner, and Steele. One is Minority leader, and the other the leader of the GOP.

Who are your leaders?

Pelosi, Reid and Jarrett. Right?

Who do I think the GOP leaders are? or who my Democratic leaders are?

I don't see Steele or the boner having much influence over the core of the GOP.

Pelosi, Reid and Jarrett. Right?

No. I think Reid and Pelosi are the leaders of their constituents. I think the ones who are truly in power in the Democratic party today is obviously Obama....but you cannot discount the Clintons who I think are still very powerful within the party.

You didn't ask that, you asked who the leaders of the GOP were. See this is the subtle mischaracterization that the liberal demo's twist words with.

What I am asking is who do you believe really has the influence in the GOP today. That should have been obvious from the discussion we were having.

So let me phrase it that way.....who do you believe really has the influence in the GOP today?

And Soros, and Moulatasis, and Olberman, and Maddow, and Stern, etc....right?

j-mac

I still haven't discounted the fact the Corzine was a big Hillary supporter up to the very end and was just as definant to giving up as Hillary was..
He spent alot of money on attack ads as Hillary did in her campaign and lost.

I think this speaks more about Hillary than it does Obama.

Influence? Well that is a much more complicated venture that I suspect deserves its own thread in the partisan section.

Nah.....like I said, the Democrats do not put as much emphasis on talk radio and television news that the Republicans do. All you have to do is look at media demographics to recognize that.
