The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows that 28% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-one percent (41%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -13. Thatís just one point above the lowest Approval Index rating yet recorded for this President
    It's going excellent thank you.
It was the Austrasians, that hewed on bravely through the thick of the fight, it was they who found and cut down the Saracen King.

    Seriously?.....

The New GOP couldn't even win a race in a district that they have held for decades.

What chance do you think they have in expanding this new Conservative agenda to the nation?

    Go Palin 2012!
How is this a huge defeat? It's one seat. Did you see how the rest of the elections turned out last night?

And umm...the whole shun the moderates strategy...the GOP is taking that one right from the Democrat playbook. The chapter that covers 1972 when the democrats pushed the party to the extreme left to try to purge moderates. They ended up propping up George McGovern who is inarguably one of the most liberal candidates EVER. And they lost to Nixon.

And guess what? The Democrats are still around almost 40 years later just like the GOP will still be around.

Politics is a cycle. Nothing more.

It was a HUGE defeat for the Palin/Limbaugh/Beck wing of the GOP. They want to spread their agenda to the nation as a whole....but couldn't even win in a largely conservative district that the GOP has held for decades.

True....defeats in the two Governor races is a disturbing sign for Democrats as well....but if you look across the nation, Democrats picked up more seats overall than Republicans. So it was kind of a wash either way. Good signs for both....bad signs for both....but IMHO.....really bad news for any hope that the New GOP strategy is going to succeed if they don't learn their lesson from this.

I also think it's funny that those candidates that tried to rely on BHO to carry their campaigns with his popularity found that his politcal cult of personality doesn't transfer.

Which is gonna be really fun moving forward because candidates within the Democratic party are now less inclined to move with Pelosi, Reid, and Barry instead of their constituents. It's been proven that little Barry has nothing to offer their campaigns so there's no reason to sell out to help him keep high approval ratings. The Dems found out in virginia, at least, that it really is every man for himself and now the triumvirate is gonna have a hard time keeping the troops in rank and file. Buh bye public option.

It's what happens every time the dems get power for a minute. They cannibalize each other. Let the games begin leading up to the mid-term.

You are correct in one thing though Jall.....the GOP can rebound. However, they aren't going to rebound if they think they can sell this New GOP/Shun the moderates strategy. Personally.....I hope they try.

Re: Conservative Loses Upstate House Race in Blow to Right

This is the only high point and it is being over stated by the left. They are trying not to talk about the major Governors races they lost.

This contest was mired in confusion over the crazy actions of RINO Scozzafava abruptly withdrawing from the race and throwing support behind the Dim (no spell error).
To claim this as a Bow to Right if laughable in the face of the facts. Obama put all his power of persuasion behind Corzine who out spent his opponent 2 to 1 and still lost.

For the White House, Pelosi, and Lame Stream Obamaedia to claim victory is analogous to losing a war and saying: Well oh yea we killed private smith. It's just plain silly.
Obama and the rest of the Dims are in trouble and they are scrambling to come up with the right Saul Alenskey rule to cover the situtation. Oh yea they already did. It's the one where you claim victory after a major defeat.

Maybe its because there are other threads on that topic...but nice attempt to try to deflect the focus of this thread away from a HUGE failure of the new "Conservative" GOP. Thanks for playing though.
