Huge defeat for the GOPs new "shun the moderates" strategy. Couldn't even work in a largely conservative district. Hopefully they won't learn their lesson.

Oh Goody, we are playing the headline game. Well, NY23 was a shocker to say the least. I thought of the races that one was pretty locked up. But a huge defeat for Obama agenda none the less. here is how the AP saw it.

WASHINGTON Independents who swept Barack Obama to a historic 2008 victory broke big for Republicans on Tuesday as the GOP wrested political control from Democrats in Virginia and New Jersey, a troubling sign for the president and his party heading into an important midterm election year.

GOP sweep: Big governor victories in Virginia, NJ - Yahoo! News

Look, the elections last night proved that this country over all these years have not changed their election picking strategy. Independents are what tilted these major races to the GOP, and not the Indy's we have in here which heavily are liberals that are too ashamed to admit it. But true Independents.

I really don't see how the defeat of a crooked governor in New Jersey has anything to do with the "Obama agenda".

Just wait until all those dems jump the healthcare ship, then perhaps you will understand the magnitude of this win.

If he was so crooked, why did Obama spend so much time trying to get the guy votes... are you saying Obama supports Crooked Governors?
Climate, changes. It takes a particularly uneducated population to buy into the idea that it's their fault climate is changing and further political solutions can fix it.

Well what do you know, even a district that is historically Republican couldn't stomach the new conservative agenda.
There is nothing STUNNING about a Republican Democrat narrowly defeating the crooked Democratic governor of New Jersey late entering Conservative 3rd party candidate. It has nothing to do with Obama's the conservative agenda, and more to do with Sopranos politics the GOP candidate that was forced out due to the popularity of Hoffman deciding to endorse the DEMOCRAT rather than the conservative.
I figure the best way to respond to your ludicrous assertions is with well, your ludicrous assertions.

Why don't you stay on topic. This is a huge defeat in a largely conservative area for the Beck/Limbaugh's new GOP strategy.

Really? It has been pointed out here and elsewhere that Obama was spending alot of time in NJ. Obviously he saw it as important. The one thing I will give you, is the observance of the electorate turning on corruption, and lies. The people are tired of being lied to by their elected representatives. Starting with the Chief liar, Obama himself.

Now Will, you can try and spin it anyway you wish. Hell, If I were in your shoes I sure as heck would. But, at the end of the day, and you stare into the mirror, you know damned well that this threw a monkey wrench into the works for Obama.
