Not much to argue with there. The Indy's certainly showed Corzine who's boss didn't they?
It was a huge defeat for those on the far-right that are trying to get the GOP to adopt the shun the moderates and shift to the conservative right strategy. The fact that that strategy was defeated in a district that was so strongly conservative and GOP does not bring much hope to those who want to spread the strategy to the nation as a whole. In many ways D-23 was a test case and it failed miserably for conservatives.
A defeat? Yes it was. "A huge" one? Well, no so much....See, Hoffman came into the race late, was hugely outspent, and was for much of the time up against two liberals in the race. That he got as far as he did I think proves the lesson that the country is getting fed up with being told to go along, or if not being told that they are just too stupid to understand what is taking place right now. If you want to make hay, and put all your eggs in that one small basket, you are welcome to, but just a word of advice, this may come back to haunt you.
