AP: Christie Gives GOP Stunning Win In N.J.

There is nothing STUNNING about a Republican defeating the crooked Democratic governor of New Jersey. It has nothing to do with Obama's agenda, and more to do with Sopranos politics.

Not sure how much of this has to do with Obama. I'm just astonished that Christie was able to overcome Corzine's natural advantages. Fantastic news.

Obama campaigned like a mofo here. It was he who made this a part of his presidency....

I will take pictures if they are still up of all the billboards with OBAMA in front of Corzine saying vote Corzine.

Corzine tried to make this election bout Obama not him.

take off the blinders. Obama was heavily invested in NJ and Corzine...

Corzines tour bus had a big picture of Obama on it.

Prof is this thread about Obama losing in a STUNNING defeat or is it about Christie winning a STUNNING victory?

neither, christie is hardly stunning

what new jersey is REALLY about is:

1. bush and cheney

2. the effectiveness of negative campaigns against fat guys and knuckle dragging writers of theses

3. the intolerance of the palin wing(nuts) ripping apart the minority party

He invested heavily in Corzine:

Corzine was trying to make a vote for him was a vote for Obama.

I am as well. Today is a great day for my country!

I guess all those Obama robo-calls didn't have the positive effect that the Dems had hoped.

Just don't go after organized crime in Jersey as it is now the number one tourist attraction there!!!

I'm pretty sure NJ is still considered a blue state--just like california.

They replaced a Governor with corruption issues with Tony Soprano. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

Tony Soprano? I thought this guy was a US atty before the run, and stunning victory last night? Wouldn't a US atty be the exact opposite from the popular HBO character?

Once again up is down with you libs isn't it?

How is Christie "Tony Soprano"?

I am not sure that being a crook can be that much of an advantage, but the main issue in NJ, I believe, was what the makeup of the future state Supreme Court was going to be. I am not surprised that Corzine lost.

Bull...don't believe everything the media tells you Apdst.

At this point the Republicans could win a three legged race at some picnic and the righties would claim that is a sign of a defeated Obama.

Obama spent plenty of time campaigning for Corzine and had zero effect on the outcome...Obama was defeated.

I guess all those Obama robo-calls didn't have the positive effect that the Dems had hoped.

Not to mention Obama's 5 campaign stops.

Conservatives also said Obama wouldn't be president. Many conservatives are still wiping the egg off their faces from their own failed predictions.
.

Thats because they were stupidly using logic and common sense instead of fantasy hope and change delusions to make the predictions. Maybe dear leaders presidency isnt a bad thing. Sometimes people and nations need to hit rock bottom before they can grow stronger and make some sense out of their lives. With dear leader in charge driving us into the ground it wont be too far to go before the healing can begin.....hopefully.

We had to have a Carter to get a Reagan.

Speaking of, Ran into Christie last night at fornos of Spain in Newark, congradulated him and shoot his hand.... Not as fat as he seems on TV....

If Obama is smart, he'll pull a Clinton. Once the Republicans take over both houses and things start to click, he can sit back, enjoy an intern or two, and take credit for everything.

Maybe another internet will come on the scene, too, for Obama like it did for Clinton.

However, I think Obama seeks to destroy America as it once was. He wants what Soros and Ayers and Wright and Saulinsky want....to make America just another average European-like government-controlled state.
