Unidentified flue outbreak in Western Ukraine.

The facts mame and only the fact as are that the UKRAINIAN SSR parliament as all of the other 14 SSR parliaments of the prison of nation in Moscow told tem to stamp !! If they did not do what Moscow said Moscow would stamp them on the head !!!

Those are the fact mame, and only the facts !!

Well, if these are the facts then I suppose you have more than your words to back them up?

Links to orders from Moscow telling Ukrainian parliament to "stamp" the descision!

"Thank God my Family moved to the United States and out that hell hole."

yup me too !!!

Hold on! I thought Ukraine now is every true Ukrainian's dream to live in under the democratic pro-Western, anti-Russian and anti-Soviet, free, Orange government Ukrainian diaspora fought so hard to hoist onto the citizens of Ukraine?!

And the cirminals are the Russians because e they controlled the USSR.

Point me in the direction of the FACTS that Chernobyl was indeed the descision taken out by ethnic Russians (in your understanding of the word "Russians").

Hey what did your people call potaoes?? My Mother's people sai BULBA my FATHER'S called potatoes KARTOFLYA !!! But my DAD grew up in the part of Ukraine occupied by Poland.

"Bulba" is BELORUSSIAN word; and Ukrainian word would be "kartoPlya" Diaspora!

And deaths there are skyrocketing. This strain of the flu is essentially viral pneumonia. If you think the swine flu pandemic is bad, it is child's play compared to this bug. We had better pray that this one does not spread. If it does, we will be looking at 1918 all over again, or possibly even worse.

I guess this is the Russian attempt at making deadly pandemic, looking back at pathetic US attemps with bird and swine flue migration to humans.

The outbreak is reported to be in Ukraine so why are you talking about "Russian" ?

Actually bulba is the Eastern Ukrainian word for potatoes. Khartofly or possible khartopyla is in actuality a transformation or we can say a corrruption of the German kartofil. One needs to remember that the potatoe came from the New World to Western Europe and therefore would have come to Germany.

The word bulba come form bulb and a potatoe is a bulb like tuber hense logic tells us that bulba is a very good word for potatoe.

The people of Belorus may very well have called it a bulba.

There's an outbreak of ducts for smoke in chimneys? Wow! ;)

Actually bulba is the Eastern Ukrainian word for potatoes.

I am Eastern Ukrainian, and "bulba" is Belorussian word, Belorussians are even nick-named "bulbash". Your mother is from what is now Western Belarus.

Update, translated from a Russian web site - Some doctors are now claiming that this is a form of pneumonic plague. If that is the case, it will be easily contained, but the loss of life is now at 1,500.

Yes, just North of the Prypyat but in the area that is or at least prior to ethnic cleansing ethnically Ukrainian. So if you claim that bulba is a Belorussian that may or may not be true and not worth an arguement.

I also recal that my Mother also called potatoes baraboylya or baraboilya. I call her a little while ago and she said that both words were used in the area her that her village was in.

So Mykola Hohol named his fictional Kozak hero Taras Bulba after a Belorusnyk. I guess that Taras Baraboylya or TARAS KARTOFLYA would have fit a fictional Kozak HERO.

Then of course there was Krivoneese or Crookednose !!! But there is a story there !!

I ignore Russian websites and I ignore virtually all Russian sources. Don't truth them, don't believe them, don't like them !!!

Nikolay Gogol (hohol -- is a nick-name for malorussians whose men were fond of a specific hairdo -- hohol

When Gogol was writing his "Taras Bulba" there was no such thing as "ukrainian" or "belorussian" languages; there were dialects of Russian language. I think we can forgive him.

Called my family a few hours ago. No one knows what is going on, there is no comprehensive official information, people are panic-buying antibiotics, disinfectants... Rumors are rife... An "official" figure of dead ranges from 58 to 1700, depends on what official is answering a question. One thing for certain: whatever it is, it is no longer confined to the Western regions...

Galitchian Ukrainian diaspora! Just remember, Malorussia, Novorussia, Slobozhanshina, Crimea, Donbass, Severshina were, are and will be Russian.

I am well aware and have noted many thimes that parts of Ukraine have been infested by Russians and that there even are Ukrainina traitors who have been Russianized so the road to rstoring a decent society in Ukraine will not be an easy one.

I will even bother viewing your clips but you obviously do not know a thing about the OUN = Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists and the UPA = Ukrainian Insurgent Army.

Your Rusian/Soviet/Communist view of the OUN / UPA cannot be any more wrong.

For what did UPA (Ukrainian Insurgent Army ) struggle for ?

The Ukrainian Insurgent Army (the UPA) fought for Ukrainian Independent State and free life for all nations in their own countries. Destruction of national identity, oppression and exploitation of one nation by another is wrong and that is what Russia did to it's neighbors. The system of free nations living in their own free land - this is the only way to guarantee a just solution of national and social issues all over the world.

The terrible consequences of the Soviet rule in Ukraine, starvations, repressions, terror in 1920 - 1941 in the Eastern Ukraine and the mass murders, tortures and quartering of people in the NKVD prisons in the Western Ukraine in 1939 - 1941 as well as a "peaceful" Hitler's policy, have finally embittered people against Germany and Moscow Bolshevism.

The UPA and OUN fought both the German Nazi's nad the Russian Bolshevyks.

There was a least one miltary company of UPA was Jewish therefore the filthy Russian lie calling the OUN or UPA facists is just deplorable!!

And what Polish slaves from Galitchina can know about "ukrainian ethnicity"?

I never heard of Polish slaves in Halychina. You really need to read some history other than the old Soviet lies. LOL !!

Where is this place called "Galitchina" is that in Spain or Bulgaria ? I cannot find it on any honest map or history work about Ukriane.

You really want to know? Enjoy. Poles will never forget or forgive Gilitchians for their "struggle": Explorar / Vídeos / Genocide OUN-UPA / UIA on polish nation / Movie for above 18 a Netlog

I do not watch such trash or propoganda !!! so don't even bother posting it.

There was struggle aginst Polish occupation that is true. The OUN Organization of Ukrainian NATIONLISTS was formed in the 1920's during the Polish occupation of Western Ukraine - Halychyna!
The First General Assembly of the OUN was in (1929).

Now there were some local commanders who may have taken a rather hard tone against the former Polish occupiers but there was no policy by the OUN/UPA to hurt Poles per se.

Yet after WW II the Communist Polish government at the urging of Russians did conduct a severe ethnic cleansing in Eastern Poland where there were Ukrainians living. The Ukrainians were sent to the Northwestern sections of new Polish - former German lands after many were killed by Polish Communist troops. This occurred between 1946 and 1950.

I found your Galicia, it is in Spain = " Galicia (occasionally Galiza) is a historical autonomous community in northwest Spain, with the status of a historical nationality, and was one of the first kingdoms of Europe[1] (Kingdom of Galicia). " ha ha ha ha

Galitchina is a former Polish colony where your father came from; a historically Russian territory annexed by Poland in 1921; a territory that was allowed to become part of Ukraine in 1939.

Prior to 1939 the so called "ukrainians" were mostly illiterate and allowed to be employed as farm hands or servants in towns; there was a limit on how many "ukrainians" can live in the cities, "ukrainians" were prohibited to walk on the pavements...

Here is an example: In 1931 the composition of the population of Lviv looked like this:
Ukrainians 24,245 people. or 7,8% ,
Ruthenians (Rusins) 10,892 people. or 3.5%
Poles 198,212 people. or 63.5%
Jews 75,316 people. or 24.1%
Others 3,566 or 1.1%
Lvov

Within the Soviet Union, 1944-1991
National composition of Lviv as of 1989:

Ukrainians 622,800 (79.1%)
Russian 126,418 (16.1%)
Belarusians 5,800 (0.7%)
Armenians 1,000 (0.1%)
Jews 12,837 (1.6%)
Poles 9,697 (1.2%)
Total 778,557

Have you heard Polish word "bydło"? Well, that was how Poles addressed "ukrainians"...

God willing Poland will take back its former colony...
