High-dollar fundraisers have been promised access to senior White House officials in exchange for pledges to donate $30,400 personally or to bundle $300,000 in contributions ahead of the 2010 midterm elections, according to internal Democratic National Committee documents obtained by The Washington Times.

"This administration has across the board set the toughest ethics standards in history. As a result, we have reduced special-interest influence over the policymaking process to promote merit-based decision-making," he (Dan Pfeiffer, deputy White House communications director) added.

What is illegal about donors being allowed to meet officials? If this story is real, why did you have to go to Rev. Moon's newspaper to find it?

Okay so what Obama is selling access and renting out the Lincoln Bedroom the same as Bush did what's the big deal. I remember pictures of Bush and some Chinese or Taiwanese guy of questionable character taken at at a White House event and the Dims (no spell error) going ape shiite or it. But then there was this outrage from the lefties talking about how it was pure denigration of the office because of the questionable practice of using the peoples House as a fund raising tool, and how it just proved Bush was a low life. Or words to that effect. I also remember hearing a great deal or rhetoric from the Dims about openness in government and access to information about pending legislation before any votes.
Wow come to think of it there seems to be something about to the stories of there not being a dimes worth of difference between the two major parties after all. Could it be that all the talk of no more possibility of corruption and a new refreshing openness and honesty in Government from Obama, Pelosi, and Reid was just another campaign ploy from the left? Let's take a quick trip down memory lane to before the election to see if Obama was doing anything misleading. You won't have to read so just sit back and relax for a minute and watch and listen. No I was never fooled by the massive lies from Obama, Pelosi, Reid or any of the massive the Dims spew forth on a daily basis. It seems ingrained in them to regurgitate BS and openly operate with double standards. They count on you being too stupid to notice or having a short memory.
This was despicable when Bush did it and there has been no change because Obama is to some the epitome of the second coming.

It happened under Bush, it happened under Clinton, and it's happening under Obama.

This is relevant not because it's some brand new policy that Obama has developed, but because it doesn't comport with Obama's image as a political reformer who is free from these influences.

The fact is that Obama is not a new breed of politician - he's a politician. I don't fault him for that, but do fault him for pretending to be something that he's not in order to convince gullible people to vote for him.
