My friend you are right about Bush, but that's simply irrelevant to me. If you support Obama on Afghanistan you had better get used to playing defense. Obama is going to get the Bush Treatment.
So on 01/20/09 Bush and Cheney's responsibilty for their past polices ceased?

You're raising a separate issue. As far as Bush and Cheney are concerned give them their day in court. As far as Obama is concerned, render him ineffective and then give him his day in court. The prosecution of Bush, Cheney and their minions will provide a useful precedent for the prosecution of Obama and his minions. Prosecution for what? War crimes. Drones over sleeping Pakistani villages bringing death from above to innocent villagers. I heard the UN intends to investigate.

Why hasn't Obama ended the Patriot Act? Why hasn't Obama ended warrantless wiretaps? Why is Obama continuing renditions?

I've moved past left and right. I no longer support the existing political order because the Republicans and Democrats have been completely and utterly co-opted by special interests. The Republicans are beholden to Haliburton, and the oil and gas industry, while the Democrats are slaves to General Electric, Duke Energy, and Big Labor. Our political system is incapable of reform. I "won't be fooled again." I apologize for the rant.

They had their day in the court of public opinion and lost, we've now got a circus clown in the White House.

    Workin on it!

Wouldn't it be better if we considered the "useful precedents" of the past...you know history...so as we can dispense with this ridiculous notion that either of these Presidents should be prosecuted?

Additionally, Pakistani villiages hide more than the sleeping Pakistanis, death came in through the front door, forget drones. Death and despair is what this Islamic mentality has wrought you for decades, the Grim Reaper lives amongst you, forget the useful tools we target him with.

Why hasn't Obama ended the Patriot Act?
    It's working and it's legal.

Why hasn't Obama ended warrantless wiretaps?
Maybe he's at war. We've intercepted wire, phone, mail, we've intercepted every form of info transmission that's ever been invented during war all throughout our history, why should Obama be the first to end?

    Why is Obama continuing renditions?
    It's working.
It was the Austrasians, that hewed on bravely through the thick of the fight, it was they who found and cut down the Saracen King.
