White House attacks worry moderate Democrats

Oh please don't argue with idiots they are trying to divert attention from the facts and truth. Obama has been caught in lies over a hundred and fifty times and I envite you to google it to see them as I am tied of of doing the Granola Liberals homework for them. All of the attacks on Fox News is clearly seen by people with the ability to think for themselves as another page out of the Alimskey game book. When you are caught in lies as Obama, Pelosi, Reid and every liberal who opens there mouth these days have been caught in they try to divert or obfuscate to avoid the subject. One of Obama's main ploy is to accuse you enemies of what you yourself are doing. In Obama's case that could include just about anything that is underhanded dishonest, Socialistic and worse.
Obama has lied too much and made too many outlandish claims he couldn't prove as well as making out right racist statements while all the time spending money like a welfare recipient who knows it's not coming out of his pocket as he parties and makes million dollar trips spends tens of thousands of dollars to fly a guy in to make pizza for lunch.
Now finally even Liberals are beginning to catch on that Obama has done nothing and every time one of his goofy plans comes up short he just makes another promise he has no intention of following through with because he knows before everyone else catches on that they are amateurish and have little chance of working. So what does he do he lashes out like a child caught with cookie crumbs all over his face claiming it was Billy who took ate the cookies, Billy's the bad gut he even drank all the milk. Obama is operating just like the Chicago street thug he has been for years. Oh yes some will claim he was an Organizer. Well what did he do at that job other than Black mail and threaten businesses to bow to his will. Some call it coordination in the Weimar Republic they called it Gleichschaltung and it was a way to avoid operating outside their Constitution. Wow that's Obama all over the place.
Obama is attacking some media trying to garner support from his disciples and next he'll be moving to shut then up permanently as his pal Hugo Chavz has done. Keep in mind the play books his Czars and appointees follow include those of Mao, Marx, Hitler and others, and as the truth comes out more and more about this administration it's no surprise that people are beginning to pull back from Obama.

Do you think the more letters you type makes your diatribes more valid?

Condescending is nice. However, why should I have to have a degree in FoxNews programing to figure out wtf is new and wtf is not news?

Seriously.

The link I gave you was Doocy LIEING. Plain and simple.

My genius was knowing you won't differentiate hard news from an opinion show. Bottom line, you can't produce Fox News lying about anything.

Degree... puhleez... it's no wonder I'm having such a difficult time explaining basic television to you. Here's a tip: Take fingers out of ears, open eyes and watch... do that more than 5 minutes and the "degree" won't be necessary. You can do it!

My bad for stopping the thread. It just seems that FoxNews can spread lies and give false impressions but cannot be called out. It is quite annoying.

It's one thing for an ordinary citizen like you to call out Fox News.

It is another thing for a man who is constantly on the receiving end of news coverage to figuratively go to war with the only news station that doesn't worship him.

If Obama wants people to like him, he should do things worthy of their praise, not criticize those who oppose him... that just looks bad.

You have got to be kidding me. I would laugh but this is sad. Are you telling me that comments from *specific shows* cannot be "lies" even if the person knows the truth? Even if the person is distorting and directly misleading?

I know you do not realize how incredibly immature and ridiculous that sounds.

no no.. we didn't have sex, I only put it in halfway and I even pulled out. Pssh...not even sex - whatevah.
Edit: An argument a jr high would use.

Didn't Clinton already try that one?

Well that's probably because you said it and I did not.

I'm saying there's a difference between Fox "News" and Fox Opinion shows. If you want lies and deceit, then you can go to any media outlet and watch their commentary shows, and have a field day.

*tap tap*

McFly? You there? Get it yet?

Again, you're the one stating it and not me - and you'd know for sure about a jr. high argument because you're the only one making that argument.

*tap tap* ??

So, again I'll ask --- Fox "News", where are the lies again? Oh that's right they don't exist.

Two conservatives arguing over Fox News. *sigh*

Link

Obama had better stop screwing around with Fox, and move on.

No, no, no... let Him continue showing people what post-partisan means.

He's just getting people's attention.

I say.... Forward Ho!

Keep up the good werks.

Tap all you want, you are not making any sense.

Let me see if I understand you.
1. Certain commentators can fib all they want, the Doccy video is prof, but you are ignoring it or not acknowledging it.
2. You are saying that because it was "opinion", I should know that it was ok. But, it wasn't "news" so it is irrelevant.
3. All other media outlets do it too.

Help me to understand.

I don't think Fox is worse than any other outlet. Nevertheless they are far more balanced politically with their mix of personnel.

I can't help but think this administration is looking more and more amatuer-ish all the time.

To me this is a win/win - FoxNews will get called out, hopefully some of the more extreme koolaid FN drinkers will get educated and Obama will look un-presidential. Yay.

I'll go slow...
..
..
..
Ready?
..
..

There's "News" on cable media
..
..
..
and then there's "Commentary" on cable media
..
..

Commentators comment on news items and those comments are "opinions". News anchors, report primarily news - events, happenings, as they happened.
..
..
..

Lumping "News" with "Commentators" (i.e. Doocy) is an outright falsehood. What Doocy said is irrelevant - it's not "News" and not part of "Fox News". FoxNews is a cable media outlet. You see the nuance? Can you accept the premise that one is not the same as the other? I'm not arguing for or against Doocy or what he did or did not say - it's irrelevant. Differentiate between opinion shows and news shows. No degree required.

Where is the disclaimer so that we can ignore them?

Or, must I figure that out based on time of day, who is speaking, and the alignment of the stars?

What happens when a "news" person crosses the line and makes a *comment* - is the whole show now commentary and can ignore from the beginning?

Editorializing the news.

A few years back Reuters, in a lead in to a news article about China called China's president a stone faced dictator. That is not news, it is an editorial opinion, yet we have a tendancy to accept it as news.

To me, news should be as factual as possible without opinion. We tend to get in as much milage out of controversial news item as possible which results in opinionated news.

Most news can be reported in a few paragraphs. But the tendancy, especially when it comes to hot items is to regurgitate the same facts (or missfacts) as possible to fill up the required space in order to call themselves a newspaper. This so called news then takes on a life of its own as the public clammers for more villians. That is not responsible news reporting, that is done for market share and advertising dollars.

.

.

I think it has more to do with having a 24X7 news cycle than anything. Advertisers are paying to fill up space on 24 hour news channels and so the networks have an obligation to deliver viewers to the advertisers. Sensationalism sells.

It's not like it used to be when you could turn on the news program in the morning and the evening and get the streamlined facts because they had limited time. Now they have all the time in the world to opine and editorialize. And they do. To fill up space, like you said.

I would much rathers see networks like Fox repeat the truth over and over again on their 24 hour news cycle..VS filling 23 1/2 hours with lies and distortions.

When did it become no big deal if commentators lie?

No one said it isn't a big deal. But the average thinking viewer should know that there is a distinction between journalism and editorial content.

That's all part of the dumbing down of America. From what I have been able to gather, most journalism classes now teach that editorializing in a news story is the right thing to do. My godson's journalism teacher argues that it is the responsibility of the reporter to bring people to their point of view when writing news stories. When I confronted this clown, she defended her position by stating that the average person does not have enough knowledge to make the decision so since the reporter has done the investigation, he is more able to tell the people what is important and how it should be interpreted.

Except that the reporters (most?) often don't have a clue, because all they typically know about the subject is what they learned for that story.

Even reporters who cover regular beats have this problem. Coverage in areas where I have expertise and know the difference is most often abysmal.

Of course, but lying in either is a big deal. When respectable commentators make a mistake, they correct themselves. They don't lie. Newspaper op-eds are fact-checked, for example.

Glenn Beck commented that when he was on CNN they made him fact check stuff, he cited that as a difference b/w CNN and FOX:confused:

You might feel that way while we're talking it about it but we, as viewers, ask to be lied to. We tune in to television far more than we should. We consume in ways that make it economically profitable to advertise 24X7. We give viewership to these news channels all day every day.

If we didn't create a market for the lies, then no one would find it profitable to sell lies all day.

True. And here on the thread topic, I think it's more appropriate for viewership and other commentators to address that when it happens. The White House should be dessiminating facts through press conferences and interviews; not sniping at news outlets over insults real and imagined.

News...shouldn't be reality TV soapopera's that just throws lies out there for the sake of dividing our country..

There is something seriously wrong with that.

And called on the lies they tell, every time they tell them.

Oh wait...... that's what all the fooferall is about. :doh
